$10 for the hike ... a steal! When we were on the cruise in Alaska last month one of the couples at our table partied a little too hard the night before we docked in Sitka and called at 7am to ask if we'd like to go on a hike while in town. We said sure. A 15 min bus ride to a national forest and a four mile hike cost them just under $90 each for the hike and a light snack (bottle of water and a chocolate bar)! Good afternoon everyone. I'm a lurker of many years at the KT and nary a day goes by that I don't check out the wonderful photography here. Y'all do amazing work. Alisande...I believe your "visitor" leaving the tracks is a rabbit. They leave pretty strange tracks in the snow...especially if they're just meandering along at a slow pace. I've been tracking a few of my own local brown rabbits and can always substantiate my suspicions when I follow their tracks to under a large shrub or into the under brush of the nearby woods...where they safely hide away from predators. Keep your eyes posted. You may see the visitor one day soon. They venture out in the day light hours looking for food and as long as they aren't threatened...they can be pretty brazen. Anne
