You know, after reading the "How much will you WS" thread, and seeing Sandysgarden's pictures of Maltese cross - Lychnis chalcedonica - isn't Tiffy's code spelled wrong?? Not that I would have cracked the code in any case because I'd never heard of Lychnis anything before this thread! In any case, they are very striking and I'm thinking about WSing some. Do they attract butterflies or bees?

Thanks, everyone, for all your compliments. So nice to hear such things from all my forum friends. I didn't think about it as I was designing the table, but I guess having skunk plates does make me sort of special. What I can't figure out is, why didn't any of you ask where you could get your own skunk plates??? Come to think of it, the fact that I actually collected a bunch of skunks does put my sanity into question. This tidbit of information that you've all learned about me is something not one other living person knew (even my husband and grown children). Now that you know, I'm asking that you keep it under wraps. :-P A nod to the color scheme: As the designers on HGTV are found of saying, I used the plates as my "inspiration piece" and went from there. Remember the pink and black bathrooms of the 50s? We had one and it was full-blown (along with an avocado and gold kitchen). Must go now, I've thought of another game table idea. I've noticed some people saying that they've had some problems growing coneflowers in their yards, so I thought I'd let you know what I've learned about them, mostly by trial and error. They're growing great in my yard now, and I'm enjoying them all...lol! First and foremost, the seeds need at least a month or two of being outside in the cold before they'll sprout. And when I say cold, I mean below freezing, not just in the 40s -60s. If your area doesn't get that cold for that long, simulate it and throw the seeds into your freezer for a month or so before you plant them. When you do plant the seeds, do so by scattering them on top of the soil and then pressing them into it. They don't need to be buried. After pressing them into the soil, lightly cover them with grass clippings or straw so the birds don't eat them. Coneflowers love the sun, so plant them where they'll get full sun. If you don't have a full sun area for them, plant them in the sunniest spot available and hope for the best. Some types of coneflowers get off to a slower start than others, depending on variety. In the spring, scatter some cosmos seeds where you planted the coneflowers. Both species love the sun and require the same amount of watering, which in my mind makes them excellent companions. Aslo, cosmos and coneflowers flowering together looks great! If you've got other questions about growing coneflowers, let me know. I've been growing mine with great success for the last 4 years or so, after having a few forehead-slapping moments because of the mistakes I made. I'll be glad to help you avert doing them too.

Well got the light hung in my own way as couldn't suss out how they are supposed to go up until I get a net connection back to look online lol. So for now it's a dry run, 2 heatmats on getting up to temp underneath my 2x2 square piece of egg crate. Thermostat probe is on top of the egg crate along with digital thermometer probe. Thermometer display outside of the tent to easily view readings as it's a hygrometer also. Once upto temp I will get some plants under it prob tomorrow all being well and hope they start to look half as good as the ones I keep seeing on here.
