Now there you go Ellie. Such a challenge. You made me put on my thinking cap. My first date was in grade school. We went to the movies and my uncle and grandma referred to him thereafter as "Mr. inkspot" because he had a stain on his jeans. LOL. He was just a friend not even a crush.

I honestly don't remember my first official date because, like you, I had crushes and we would play outside together in the snow or play tennis and ride bikes.

I had a crush on a 5th grader and when I was 20 years old; visiting my God parents in Phila I got on an elevator with a guy who started chatting and there he was - my 6 degrees of separation. We found the connection 4 floors down. That fast. I said I used to live outside of Phila and he asked where and.....he came to visit me at college. Smiley face.

I will say ummm, not getting into the guys car...basically making sure they are in control of leaving when they want to. So I would say having their own vehicle
