Last of the plums, moving on to peaches

I've enjoyed reading all the threads lately about jams and jellies. The canning bug has hit me hard. But now, with the success of the Ginger Plum Sauce, I'm looking toward experimenting with variations and combinations... still typically more sweet than savory (will have plenty of salsa opportunities coming up soon when the tomatoes and peppers ripen).

Yesterday I harvested one last batch of Santa Rosa plums and from a different friend, about 5 lbs. of wonderfully fragrant peaches.

Jessy, I went ahead and purchased "Mes Confitures"... figured I'd be competing with you for library borrowing!

So after reading practically from cover to cover, today's peach concoction now in the fridge till morning will hopefully soon be peach preserves with cinnamon and a sweet dessert wine.

Love to hear of some of your favorite fruit jam ideas
