I hope y'all have a great day and long weekend with your family and friends. Good food and drink too. My group will raise a cold one to our friends North of the 49th this weekend. : )

Oh yeah, I'll definitely join in wishing my friends to the north Happy Canada Day. We'll be right behind you with 4th of July, celebrating all weekend!

Thank you! I hope the weather is better elsewhere in this vast country, than it is here. Today it is cool and raining. And Mary's husband wanted to go to the beach. Not so far from here so I doubt it was beach weather for them. We have had rain almost every day for what seems like ages. At Sat. night's church service, the youth choir sang as a closing hymn "Rain Down". So we will blame today on them. Hope it warms up for the 4th for y'all. Theresa

We're having a rainy dreary day and still trying to decide what to do. We have fireworks and smores that were planned for tonight but I think it will be a task for this weekend. We might be staying in this Canada day. It's a day of mixed feelings since my grandfather died 5 years ago today. It's still a celebratory day though, but he's always in my thoughts. I think he just wanted to go out with a bang. ;)

Why thank you all!

It's beautiful day here , lots of Canada Day festivities and of course fireworks tonight.

Some unavoidable business kept me in the city until tomorrow AM but then I'll head up north. Clive is already there. Today's the day he changes the old flag for a new flag on the dock and on all the boats.

The lake celebration is actually on Saturday so I won't miss much.

I had a bear go through my fence the other day (night, actually) so I'm out digging post holes, mixing cement and various sawyering of wood and stuff.

I suppose, in its own way, that is quite Canadian, eh?

So, thanks. Now I must get back at it or my resolve dissipates in a hoppy, barley, bubbly mess.

Yes Indeed, HAPPY CANADA DAY!

In a small way, we helped you celebrate. One of Max' coworkers is from Nanaimo and his office had a Canada Day potluck at lunch.

We'll also raise a glass to all of our Canadian friends this evening and wish you all a great long weekend.

Hope my fellow Canadians are having a great time this Canada Day celebration.

My sister was with the City of Gardens Chorus from Victoria, B.C. singing at the Canada Day celebration in London's Trafalgar Square this morning before the group headed out to Stonehenge and a singing tour to Wales. So she will have some great stories to tell when she gets back.

Raising my glass of cold bubbly water (too late at night here for any other kind of drink) to my compatriots.
