Or send me your best wishes, good thoughts or vibes. I go in for my bone biopsy tomorrow first thing in the morning. Not looking forward to it. And then there is the wait till you get the results back. I think that is the worse part of all. I was going to drive myself, but DH is worried so wants to go with me and take the day off.

Oh Florence, I missed speeding you Good Luck, but It is done now, and I am sure you had a marvelous flight. In 1970 after an awful era in air traffic we decided we could not fly and were emmigrating to Canada by QEII - at the last moment before the final booking we decided to fly (to get there quicker) :) and we have no regrets - flown mega times since. I got Norton completely out with no problems. I am beginning to really dislike Thunderbird 5. I keep losing the folders. How on earth do I find folders I made? I wish there was some way I could get the older (3 something I believe) Thunderbird I had . My speakers don't work & my printer doesn't work. I am buying a ticket to fly to VA tomorrow & won't be able to print them. I ordered recovery disk for my son & HP sent me a letter.. I noticed the instruction has for a Vista. I checked the numbers & it was for a Vista computer.. Sure glad I noticed it or he would have had useless recovery disk. They blamed a computer for making that mistake. One day I will get this computer back like it should be.. I hope. Dar

I was done with port removal and ready to go home by 1pm AZ time (that is 3 hours behind the East coast daylight savings, 2 hours behind the Midwest, 1 hour behind Mountain dalight savings time and matching CA daylight savings time. I have decided against going for an interview for a 3 month job. If it was a permanent job or a 1 year contract I would jump at that in a nanosecond. So I can go back to work tomorrow as usual. I have to keep the outer bandage on until Sat about noon and then let jeri strips fall off on their own. The surgeon used the same incison so I will only have 1 scar and not two. The nurses could not use my inner elbows for the IV. They did however use ultra sound on each arm to locate veins. That was cool. My left arm has a vein but there is a valve in there which will not allow the needle to advance. This nurse tried anyway. Boy, did that hurt. So for IV the nurse accessed the port, the very one they would be removing. This time I was awake the whole tome. Last time when they put it in I know I had been asleep. Then the doctor had to inject a local anethesia into the skin around the port. That also really hurt. Luckily, I did not feelthe cutting part. I almost prefer being asleep - that way you do not have to hear the things they talk about or hear the sounds or feel any pulling. Thanks everyone!!

Oh poor guy!... On the subject of eating things, my granddaughter's orange tabby cat, Gary... he ate an entire package of 25 new hair ties. In the X-ray's his intestines looked like a braided rope. We forked out the 1200 for surgery and he recovered great. Then 2 years later he somehow got up under our daughter's sewing machine, pulled out and ate an entire bobbin of black thread so back for more surgery. They had to take his entire intestines out and lay them out on the table, 12 feet of intestines they said. They had to make small incisions every few inches, snip and pull the thread out. When they got up close to his stomach the last bit wouldn't come out. They looked in his mouth and it was wrapped around the base of his tongue. That surgery took a while to get over. He must of learned his lesson as that was the last of his eating things he shouldn't, that we know of anyway. But... this spring he somehow contacted a fungus infection in his lungs and didn't make it... after a couple more thousand dollars in trying to save him....

Wishing you well Clare and glad that your DH is going along with you. Having company sure helps at times like this. Ask them if they can do a rush on your biopsy so that you don't have to wait too long.

Thanks everyone for your warm thoughts, good wishes and prayers. And I loved all the beautiful pictures.

Unfortunately I am still in the dark. When I was sitting in the exam room, I just found out this doctor does not do bone biopsies. My GP sent me to the wrong specialist!!!

I have to go up to Standford Hospital and see a bone cancer specialist and this time it will be surgery with me knocked out. Also found out with bone cancer they don't like to do needle biopsies because of contamination of the cancer cells in local area. So they go in and dig it out with a scalpel. They want to remove the whole tumor.

Just called the Stanford specialist and he is booked up till the end of March. So it continues. I will just be sitting on pins and needles for the next month.

I'm so sorry you're going through this worry, Clare. Stanford is a good place to be, and perhaps they will be able to fit you in earlier if they have a cancellation. Did you ask to be on a wait list, if that is a possibility? I too will be praying for you.
