Mini Pendant Light Help Please

My kitchen has white cabinets with brushed nickel hardware. Currently the entire kitchen has recessed lighting. Over the kitchen table there is a light fixture with brushed nickel also.

I would like to replace two of the recessed lights with mini pendants over the island area.

Do you think I should stick with brushed nickel lights? I had my eye on Tiffany style lamps, but those don't look great with brushed nickel.

So I was thinking of just getting colored pendant lights (a red to match my accessories in the kitchen). Would that be the best bet you think (red lamps with the brushed nickel finish). Any pics of your kitchens with colored pendant lights? Thanks.

I don't have colored pendants; mine are fairly typical so I won't bother showing them. However, I wish I'd seen these before I bought the ones I bought! Athough they don't have color, I think they'd look good in a traditional white kitchen with brushed nickel.

I just noticed it's shown in a brass finish. You can choose a nickel finish instead.

Hi HU-212143535, We would recommend the following pendants: Lady Di Oval Pendant - Nickel Lady Di Pendant - NIckel Hooray Harriet Pendant - Copper Hooray Henry Pendant - Nickel Hermione Pendant - Nickel Edison bulbs as a light source isn't all that bright and they are meant to be used in a cluster over a counter space or individually over a small booth or mini dining table. Glass pendants help disperse and refract light a bit more and helps extend the range than the bulb itself. But the glass can only do so much. We would suggest using a brighter colored light bulb like a 4000K-5000K equivalent bulb to give the light projection that you need and make sure that the bulb is clear, not frosted. Yes, I had to do that too. Tape the island size on the sub floors or build one from cardboard...this will bug you if you get it wrong. Or just go with what you were reading as a recommendation. Good luck! Make sure that you have plenty of aisle width planned, the island electrical won't let you push the cabinets a few inches either way.

I also have white cabinets with brushed nickel and I fell in love with some tiffany pendants that I wondered about using on my island too. You don't think they look good with brushed nickel? I saw some with bronze trim that I thought would look fine with brushed nickel. Now I am wondering if I am wrong.
