He's just adorable. That is why I don't eat meat anymore. I don't see a difference between a pig and a dog. Donna

I ran into a couple of the Uncle Roger videos this past weekend. He's funny. Turns out Hersha, whom he panned her rice making, didn't get upset or if she did, it didn't last. She turned it around into her own humor and fun, and made friends with the guy who does the Uncle Roger act. Jamie Oliver remains silent... While I won't be making Oliver's egg fried rice, I did make his shepherd's pie in the past and it was GOOD. At least he knew to use lamb. I came back because last night I discovered a new channel: View from the Road. The woman who does this cooks mostly authentic Mexican, with some Tex Mex and some Korean-Mexican recipes (her children are Korean-Mexican), and a few other things. She seems worth following. And I forgot to mention "My Name Is Andong" - a YouTuber in Germany who tries a variety of foods and explains their "whys".

I also think it would look funny to have pendants in your videos. Hmmm Option one I guess would be to skip them altogether. I’ve seen it and it’s fine. You can add detail and molding to the ceiling for interest if you go that route. Option two is to go with them and have them in the videos. Which I don’t think will be horrible. Three. Is crazy and I’m sure you thought of it. Maybe make a fake kitchen in your garage for shooting? Love this project and would love to see pics. Y’all sound so creative... and would love to see some of your content

Yeah, I'm one of them. It really was just the very beginning of the video that was really bad. If I had the right software I could have edited out that truck noise. I also know that my "teacher voice" which projects, bothers people with sensory issue. I once did a program at a school where as soon as I started my presentation (for a group of 5th graders) a kid in the front row broke out screaming and crying. He must have been on the autism spectrum where the combination of new routine, new person and "projectile voice" was too much for him. His aide took him out and I felt terrible but the rest of the class said it was OK. I don't know if they were being nice or what. We were outside most of the time, that incident was just at the very beginning too. In general, I am a "guide on the side" type of teacher and don't spend that much time just me talking. I've never been much good at that, I'm not a public speaker, although there are five year old who think I'm the bees knees, or so I have been told . . . I really don't have time to devote to finessing this. Wish I did, but it just isn't going to happen, realistically. I'd like to be good at this kind of thing, kind of the "Monty Don" of the environmental field, but it's starting to look rather implausible due to my heavy schedule of responsibilities. I'm sure those shows that are good have a LOT of takes . . . of course they are fake, but a good fake seems real . . . or at least "genuine" whatever that is. These days its hard to tell . . . Edited to add that I don't have time to reshoot some mistakes, like saying 700 LITERS of lemonade mix vs 700 Milliliters which was the correct amount. Just a brain glitch, I know the difference!!
