Glad it was nothing really serious....but nerve racking just the same.

Besure and get a copy of the police report, and document everything she did. Getting out of the car, taking the child out (child abuse), getting dog out, etc. and by the way, go to the hospital and get xrayed. Not worth taking a chance. Make sure her insurance pays for it. Apparently you were not going fast enough for OnStar to go off. I think you have to be at a certain speed. Make sure you don't even talk to her insurance Company, only yours. Yes we went thru that years ago and ended up getting sued, and lost even though it was 100% the others person's fault.

PLEASE listen to me. You HAVE to go to the hospital and get checked out today. You have to document EVERYTHING when it comes to an accident like this. You may have a very serious injury, but if you wait to get it diagnosed, you will be giving up your rights to get your medical bills and future pain paid for by her insurance.

And then, after you've been checked over, you need to do 2 more things--be very vigilant of your health/aches over the next weeks. Go immediately to the dr. if you notice anything (some injuries from accidents like this take a little time to show up). And--this morning--call your lawyer, and turn this whole thing over to him. You don't need the hassle of trying to deal with her (and your) insurance companies, AND you'll get far more if a pro does the negociating for you.

My dd was rear-ended a few years ago. Went to the hospital that night, had X-rays, checked out okay. Within a few weeks, she developed a herniated disk from the accident. She has a permanent injury now--which will give her problems and pain the rest of her life (she was only 22 at the time). Luckily, we didn't wait to take her to the dr. The best thing we did, though, was to let our lawyer handle everything. He got her car replaced, a rental for her as long as she needed it, her current and future medical bills paid and an award for pain and suffering. You really don't want to have to handle the long and difficult process of getting through those negociations on your own, trust me--it takes years, and if you attempt to do it yourself, you'll almost surely 'give up' and take far less than you deserve.

Ditto Azzalea. I didn't do any of those things when I was rear-ended (by a teenager) several years ago, and I regretted it later.

My back hurt off and on during the nite,It hurts accross right above bra strap in the back,from there down like a dull ache,I rolled over during the nite heard and felt a bone move.My neck &shoulders aches I guess Im sore.I have back problems anyway My sciatic nerve was acting up last week my legs hurt,my butt.

she was clueless she lets door open during rush hour it was getting dark,Isaid youre gonna get your door ripped off yet,Then I looked this little girl was walking around on the road with cars comming.I said you best get off the road,youre gonna get killed..I stood over on bank away fro cars I was scared to be there.Shes playing like she had no clue.I thought it was a man in front seat turns out it was her huge black dog.This was a small car.

as for onstar I could not tell you how many minutes I wasted talking to the animated caller.I tried to call my hubby 4-5,6 times she got it wrong or if it was right Id say yes shed say ok lets try agaimn.The 1 time I needed help she wastes my last minutes they came on said minutes are used up.Im done what a rip all that money and when I need it cant useit I am not reewing.Too many hassles.Everytime I use it I have to try 3-4 times for one number rediculous.

I'm sad that you had this trouble to contend with, along with the other problems.

I agree that you should see your doctor to get his evaluation, and tests as s/he rcommends.

Write down the whole story, as soon as possible, for reference later as needed.

I hope that the aches and pains are temporary and go away soon.

Could you program the number into OnStar? Then just say call----(person's name) I can do it on mine, but have not done so. That way you are not repeating so many numbers especially if you are upset or in a hurry.
