Online china sites

Several years ago, I asked here for online sites to purchase good china. I got some good help. Now I have forgotten the names of those sites. Can you jog my memory?

DD would like to add to her set of dinner plates, but we cannot seem to find the Spode pattern. Even Replacements does not have it.

Not through Spode itself? Or you could email Spode to ask where her pattern could be found if not with them.

I contacted them just after Christmas, and they got back to me right away about a problem with my Christmas dishes.

I's contact Replacements Inc. They are in North Carolina, have a website,phone and PO Box address. They buy and sell. I'd post a link but I don't know how!

Sounds like a waste in trying to make sense of it. Half the consumers don't even know what components make up a unit,what they do nor where to find them. Are we to believe the other half has torn into their unit to see where all the components were manufactured? I'm as disapointed as the next guy about manufacturing moving to China but have no choice other than buying anyhow.

I got mine at www.parisjewelers.com. I had a problem with their customer service when I registered, but after that had no more problems and their prices were REALLY good. At first I was not finding many china patterns I liked. It turned out that Rosenthal was the only brand that had a lot I really liked. That was a harder brand to find locally but lots was available online. www.froogle.google.com is a good site to compare prices.

In fact, there are a lot of sites that offer pretty good costume jewelry, but I have often had to return jewelry because of discrepancies with the photos on the site. But I have a very reliable site, which I can safely recommend to you - smgl.org. I have ordered several times, and I was satisfied. In addition, the jewelry is made of silver, and it is much longer wearing jewelry than that of different alloys, which sometimes leave marks on the skin

What is your device of choice to play puzzles? I do mine on iPad because it's so much easier, and I use a stylus. IMO, the best app is "Jigsaw HD." I've tried many apps and none come close to this one. I stumbled upon this video of the app because I wanted to show you the accurate pictures of some of the puzzles. FF to 1:53 when he actually begins. You'll see the main menu page and when you click on a picture you'll get a lot more pics in that category. Those are the free puzzles. You have to pay for other groupings of puzzles under "more puzzles." I'm addicted to puzzles of European cities, Croatia, Switzerland, and a lot more. Except I had to pay for those. Anywhere from $1.99 to $3.99 Moving a piece is smooth and that makes a difference.

Have you tried eBay and Etsy - they have lots of china, and far cheaper than Replacements.

My grandmother's pattern is very rare. I did a search on Ebay and have it email me when a piece shows up. Replacements is very expensive, IME.

It is the white, bone china version of Mansard. The pattern also comes decorated, but hers is plain. It also comes in a non bone china version, and it comes in an off white too.
