Lighting inside of peninsula cabinets

Anyone have suggestions on lighting peninsula cabinets (upper cabinets) with glass doors on both sides?

Recessed puck light in the top of the cabinet seems least obtrusive, but will create shadows and is probably least effective overall unless the contents are primarily limited to glassware.

Running some type of linear lighting (possibly w/ festoon or fluorescent bulbs) down the 4 corners seems most effective for even illumination from both sides, but visible from opposite side.

The center 2 cabinets are short (18" tall) w/ no shelf, so recessed puck lights probably would work. The outer cabinets are 36" and have 1 or 2 shelves (cannot remember at the moment) but will be swapped out for glass shelves.

Dim-able solutions a plus, but these lights most likely would only be used for a few hours at a time for special occasions and parties.
