Hanging Pot Racks . . . show me yours

We re-doing our whole house due to it being wrecked by Hurricane Sandy. The house was built in 1963, so it's a good opportunity for me to update and get rid of the 60s look. One of my "musts" is a hanging pot rack. I'd love to see what ideas you have come up that include pot racks.

Really sorry to hear about the hurricane, though I hope you enjoy the reno process. Here is a picture of my pot rack - though there's no pots on it in this picture. I think they were still packed away when I took this picture.

I am sure people here are tired of seeing this photo. But here is mine.

It contrasts with the island pot rack in the first post above. Which are you considering--wall or island?

I got this gasteria as a normal looking offset from a monstrose G. nigricans... sure looks different from the monstrose form plus it's much bigger. The pot is about 18 inches long. Here are a couple of crested/monstrose forms: G. 'Warthog' G. carinata var. verrucosa

Ajc, I just ordered some copper and black (Smith and Hawken) planters from Target online. Anxiously waiting to see if I like them when they arrive...the ones I ordered are square -- a copper pot inside a black stand/frame. The small size was around 14" square which, when I measured on my small front stoop, was pretty big. They have two larger sizes too, I think. I struggle with containers and plants outside, too. Never feel like I get it right! And I only have a tiny stoop to work with! Good luck! Just throwing this out -- I wonder if you'd consider a tall metal sculpture of some kind instead of a plant? Just a thought...

KItchenKrazed: You can find several pictures of potfillers...centered or to the side on the finished kitchen blog, using the categories link to focus just on potfiller pictures. I've attached a link below. Note that many potfillers (including the one I'm installing soon) fold back on themselves. So...for example, the pipe for my faucet will come out of the wall 12" from the side of my 36" stove....one third of the way across the back. But it extends out 12", then folds back 12". So when not extended, but pushed back against the wall it looks centered....the pipes extending across the center 12" of a 36" backsplash. Of course, I can also fold it the other direction, so it goes across the left one-third of the backsplash instead of the center third.
