Show me your pot.....of Gasteria!

I am interested in seeing how others place their Gasterias in pots and the styles of pots they use.

This is just one of my pots:

I am debating whether I should leave them all clumped in one pot together, or separate them into individual pots (there are 4 parents and 9 babies).
I like the look of a long pot since the plant looks like a fan, but I'm open to any ideas, so I'm looking to you guys for inspiration.

cactusmcharris, thats bit of a relief to hear, only a bit tho. I still am quite convinced its an infection of some sort, like i said, it looks to have spread to other plants, and some of the larger gasteria have no sign of it. :/ Im contemplating removing all signs of it, i dont think that will help much unless im actively treating it. the fungicide treatment i had been giving it was holding it at bay all summer but im not treating now, it seems to be on the grow again, its hard to tell. Like you said, not fatal, maybe not even detrimental at all, but terribly ugly and if its harboring disease that does harm other plants, well thats unacceptable! thanks alot for the input tho, i sure hope your right. teatree It does seem to be lacking in the offset dept. It more than makes up for it with its ability to produce pups from rooted leaves, they root every time, and quick, it usually takes a few months or a year to see babies but when u do its alot of em! I have em comin out my ears... I would LOVE to share them(and get more types of gast. too) but until im sure its healthy, i doubt i will. I hate givin people a cold...much less botrytis! I think you mentioned one being grown near you, they have pretty brittle leaves, especially after a rain, you might keep an eye out for a leaf knocked on the ground, or just ask to buy one. Or you can just wait til mine are all better and trade me some of your wonderful little green tongues... thanks for the replies folks

I can't remember the one I used last, it may have been AuctionStealer (hate the name), and I've used GIXEN and AuctionSniper. The firs two are free and gets you within 10 seconds, I think. A paid version will do it closer to three seconds and you get a lot more features. https://www.auctionstealer.com/info.cfm If you should want or need to pay, there are others to look at. Try 'ebay automatic bid auction service' Doc, how did you come across those photos? (Usually the catalog has tiny photos.)

Stush, I knew you'd pop up on here! Both of you have gorgeous collections, which is dangerously inspiring me. :) The plant in the latest picture, labeled Green Ice, is the one that I recognize as Green Ice. The other two - I have seen the red one before, but don't recall the name. The white one - no idea. Last night I did also see another potential Gasteraloe - very smooth leaves, with small widely-spaced teeth. The whole plant was very dark green, and the leaves were channeled. Didn't want to get it without a name. I also saw Gasteraloe Green Gold. My friend has sent me pieces of leaves that had rooted and produced pups. I didn't realize you could do that with these.

@MYAL plantLOVER Thank you. I think you are right effort should be focused on supporting plants with better vigour. @Embothrium it is the same bs that infects roses, but as you know some roses will get bs under ideal conditions. They just lack the immunity to fight it. I believe this Gasteria is no different. @cactusmcharris, interior BC Z4/5 It is NEVER over watered. It is never crowded. It always has extra air circulation. I have done lots of research on growing Gasteria and I have have many Gasteria. Below is the only conditions that can be improved, but even when he was under these ideal conditions he got bs. The only condition that could possibly be improved, which is hard this time of the year is the lighting. The sun hasn't broken through the clouds in days, but prior to that we have two weeks of sun. He's now in a south-west window. My two better windows have Gasteria I do not want to infect. I would love to try him under my nice new grow lights, but they have too many Gasteria and many Aloe that might get infected. I wont turf him yet, but he may go outside (out of the rain) year round. Unless we get colder than normal conditions I can protect him outside. I just can not protect him from the humidity. Not outside. More than likely, I will keep him inside. I will not do the preventative spray, except for maybe Rapsody. Rapsody (Serenade) is a bacillus subtilis bacteria that feeds on fungus and does a good job on roses. But, not the best on treating bs, best when used as a preventative.

Here's one I grew from a single very large leaf, broken off & tossed aside at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Its tag said G. distichia (mother leaf was very thick & longer than my hand, wrist to fingetips)

I planted this one out front. It gets the same sun as the pot above, but seems to have faded in color a bit. The green looks more gray. We'll see how it does in the rains this summer.

I got this gasteria as a normal looking offset from a monstrose G. nigricans... sure looks different from the monstrose form plus it's much bigger. The pot is about 18 inches long.

These are all fantastic!

Nancy, I would grow them in the container together a while longer. Great looking mix, too.
