America's Funniest Home Videos got me through some of the toughest days of my life. I credit with saving my life in a way.

I was diagnosed with a fatal neurological disease right after my son was born 22 years ago and was profoundly depressed. I was certain the grief alone was going to kill me. Yet when I watched that Funniest Home Videos, all my problems fell away and I laughed 'til I cried.

It took five years before it was determined my death sentence was a misdiagnoses. ... sigh

I love that show too. It gets me through rough times. The only problem is that my Lhaso thinks she is a critic and has to watch with me. She does not like other animals or birds.I will have to change the channel and tell her dog gone. Yes, I know she is spoiled but she loves me.

That's just so lovely! The previous-most-cute topper I'd seen was for a nephew, where they had a butterfly bride and a ladybug groom, but yours beats that by miles. Enjoy these last few weeks - stop and take a breath every now and then.

I saw this and have to admit my cats would never have allowed this to happen. When they see a raccoon in our backyard or on the deck, even when there is a door between them, you'd think that their world was ending and that they were dying. They do carry on.

Because I wear work out clothing a few days a week to the gym, I prefer to not wear legging type clothing when i am out and about. I do have a few pairs that I wear at home, right now to I'm wearing a pair but they aren't tight at the ankle. I bought them at Marshall's and wish I could find more of this style. I think I have become immune. Even overweight women who certainly don't look like Gwenyth Paltrow look fine to me as long as the leggings are think enough. I don't think a long tunic is always necessary is you are wearing the right leggings. Raven, I have never seen a lined legging. To me the purpose of a legging is that is should appear tight, but not super skin tight.

I've been gone from MA for 15 years, but Boxford is really just a commuter town...not much there at that time. Perhaps has changed. Love the first house for the fact that it has the look/feel of an older home (despite decor) but can live like we currently live. ETA: I am searching for a small home in RI for a second home and keep running into this issue so it is top of mind for me. The housing stock is so much older there than here in NC. Charming, but requiring a lot of thought for livability.

I do too and it is amazing that more people are not injured in some of the situations they get themselves into.

Another fan here. Hubs said he can always tell when I'm watching the show on the TV in my room, from the loud laughter. In 2002 I had a bad summer with back surgert and was in the hospital for 4 months, when i got home, it was with a lot of meds, one being Zoloff (sp?) an anti-depression. One Sunday evening, I noticed I was watching AFV, just sitting there, so laughter or emotion. When I went to the Dr I asked why I was still on this pill and could I stop taking it. He said I could but had to do it gradually, whic I did. One Sunday I was watching the show, and surprised myself when I started laughing out loud, then I realized...I was back. Funny show. Dottie

I've always loved blooper-type shows. Anybody remember the old show Candid Camera? It caught people reacting to comical set-ups. I used to howl when it was on !

Jannie, yes I remember Candid Camera....so funny. One episode I remember is they teased a woman's long hair until it stuck straight out from her head, then sent her out on the street that way. The reaction of the public was hilarious. Dottie
