Ackkk just found out.....

B rented a tractor with a front end loader and brush hog on it today and he just found out he has to leave for Woodward at 3 a.m....so guess who is now going to be responsible to drive it back in the morning to return it.....ackkkk yep!! I can pull a trailer no biggy there but where the business is has tight turns getting to it....I KNOW I CAN I KNOW I CAN~~~~~Stacy

Just a thought but did B. have to have insurance when he rented it to drive it? Will you be covered?

No it is just under are auto insurance so no problems there I was with him when he rented it and it is in both our names so that is not a problem it is I am nervous but there is nothing we can do about it...acutally I may call in the morning and if it is not rented out again might rent it again we have tons more to do and I know how to run it...so that would be better and if I do that we keep it til monday! So am thinking that is a option for me! Stacy

Once upon a time, I could just look at a word and remember it forever (or so I thought). Fifty years later, I discovered that apparently at some point, my brain did an unannounced attic cleaning of little-used words, and tossed most of those stored words... and while it was cleaning, it did some re-arranging... definitions which used to be right at the tip of my tongue have attached themselves to other words which may or not be similar in sound or spelling or definition. That's bad enough in English; I can't imagine the confusion which would ensue if I were fluent in one or two other languages. Glad I'm not the only one to cut back on the canning-freezing-preserving this year. DH has been gradually planting less and less of fewer and fewer items. This summer we've had garden-fresh vegs with most meals since June, but I did freeze packets of limas. Only planted a 5' row, but they seem determined to produce like a 25" row. The squirrels and chipmunks have eaten all but a handful of tomatoes, and I don't even care. Maybe by January I'll wish I had put up the usual pizza, spaghetti, and Creole sauces, but right now? Nope, don't care!

Hi Lynn, I am so sorry to hear of your losses.. I have had a few of my trees have stem rot on a few. I did cut back to good wood and sealed. You all did have a terrible freeze and im sure it did have an effect on certain varieties like DelWH mentioned. They are all different and can tolerate temps in different ways. My stomach turns to hear of your Golden Pagoda. Uggg... I would cry too! So don't feel bad to be upset. We all feel your pain. My Taj Mahal also drops buds early, so it is happening here in VB as well. I love my TM, but it is a very sensitive tree. I would still have one and i will tolerate the bud drop for the beauty of this baby!!! Please keep us updated on your trees and i hope you do not lose anymore. We all know how much you love your Plumeria!! Oh.. remember the one that i bought from Germain? Well.. I think it is going to make it!! Skibby, thanks to this thread, I found out about This Tender Land. I just finished it, along with a handful of Kleenex. Krueger is a gifted writer. It's the story of four orphans who run away from a very oppressive and abusive school for Indian children in Minnesota in 1932. It's told by one of the four children, now in his 80s, about their summer odyssey, much of it harrowing, with moments and encounters of great beauty. There were a few times when I wished the story would move along a bit faster but now I think it was worth the wait. It's a story about heart and becoming who you were meant to be. 4.5 solid stars. I'm not a book club person, but I think it might work for one.

I just this minute found out that my Sonos player can play my Music folder on my computer. I'm thrilled! I thought it only played online/internet sources. I do play online music and radio stations, but now I can play my personal choices.

Stacy, I was thinking if it were me, I would call the company and ask them to send someone to get it, hoping they would be kind enough to do that.

But if you want to keep it longer that is a good idea, too.

I could probably do it too, but wouldn't want to! I'd rent it for the weekend, regardless of the cost! lol...good luck!!

I think I can, I think I can! Be strong! You can do it! I had to do a similar thing one time and I just followed the back roads and got there just fine. You'll be so proud when you accomplish this on your own!

Thanks everyone...well I drove it to muskogee and met my sister in law at her house and she drove the truck and trailer in Muskogee and to the place...Thank goodness...I wouldn't have minded if it was just here in Checotah...but Muskogee....ummmm NO! LOL! Well Sue he thought he would get to come home tonight now it will be tomorrow night....Hopefully!!!! Stacy
