How much should I expect to pay for a home A/C+furnace install

Hi,

I am in the process of replacing my existing furnace with another, and adding an A/C unit to it.

I got quoted for $8000 for the job.

When I started researching the hardware on the Internet, I saw that what he quoted me (furnace, A/C, condenser) lists for $3500 and was available on the Net for $2500.

I'm getting a 95% AFUE, two-stage, variable speed furnace. The A/C is 13 SEER. So, I guess the furnace is top-of-the-line.

Also, the job is supposed to be completed in 1 day by two people. They will bring all additional parts needed, and will take away the old furnace.

So, the question arises, how much of the $8000 he quoted me labor, and how much is parts? Is $4500 excessive for 1 day of 2 people's time (they would make $280 / hr. - more than most lawyers). are there other costs included in the price?

Please advise ASAP. I need to cancel by tomorrow if I want to.
