What A Game ...

Did any of you folks watch the Denver- Steelers game ?

What a nail biter that was...and the best result ever...

Denver is coming to Foxboro next saturday. Cannot wait and I'll be in Foxboro that night too, not attending the game unfortunately, but I'll be there.

It was a good game. I don't like Tebow but I despise
Roethlisberger. Go New England...and maybe, but I doubt it...San Francisco.

granjan-we have had some doozies-a potluck in January that left poor Martin under the weather from his "warm" beer (hehehehe Martin...okay-cellar temperature), the Valentine's Day one at my island mansion went on for days and was such a sugar high we all needed a spa weekend, the Midsomer party was decadent and steamy....but we did play a rousing game of croquet to work off more calories.

Crossword puzzles. It's rare when I can't finish one but I'm not good enough to solve in pen... at least not confidently. I print out several almost every day to do during any slow time at school. I try to encourage students to join me (HS aged) but they're really not interested. They have to THINK and have more than a 3-4 letter word vocabulary, so don't have the patience.

Lily, I would play with you too! Maybe you can find a source of games in your community. A venue in my area has Game Night once a month, attended by people of all ages. Some of the games look rather intense and seem to require a lot of thought (Pandemic is one), but I've played lighter games there with a friend. If you're close to my age you could probably find games at a local senior center. You could also poll your friends to see if there's any interest. Who knows--some may be silently yearning for a fun game. Fran, I was thinking about bridge recently. I haven't played since the 1960's, but I'd be willing to read up on it and see if I could join a group. However, I remember my husband was not thrilled with my bridge playing. He was a serious duplicate bridge player, and I like to chat while I play. Chances are the local groups would feel the same way my husband did about my playing style. LOL Foggy, I looked up Telestrations, and it sounds like great fun. But I wonder if the two artists in my group would spoil some of the fun. They are very good. Playing Cranium on my team recently, one of them had to draw a saddle with her eyes closed. It was perfect. Socks, thanks for the tip about Hoot Owl Hoot and Peaceable games!

We watched the last little bit waiting for Once Upon A Time to come on. Pretty neat!

Georgysmom, we bleed black and gold here but I think the team that deserved to win did so. The Steelers made too many mistakes and I think they had too many challenges to overcome, too many injuries. It certainly held a person's interest!

Great game! We've always been Denver fans, but SIL (from Denver) and DIL are huge fans. Sure was a short OT.

I'm heartbroken.......I love my Steelers win or lose. Good luck to Tebow and team next week. The only thing that will make me feel better is if the Ravens lose next week. I can't stand them. lol

On a happier note, I got a new great niece tonight!

Lynn. I agree. The Broncos definitely played the better game and Tebow's passes were fabulous. But I'm always sad to see the Steelers lose. I know I have two unhappy sons.

My husband is very upset as well but the Steelers Nation flag still flies in our front yard! (Right below the Stars and Stripes!)

Katlan, from your lips to the NFL! I agree, and I hope Tebow goes all the way, starting with taking out Tom Brady.

I'd love to see Tim Tebow in the Super Bowl his first year in the pros. I don't care what the press says, he's pretty awesome in my book. We don't watch much pro-football, but I do like to see how Timmy's doing now and then.

I loved the game, since I don't like the Steelers, but there is no way Denver will beat New England. I thought both teams looked pretty bad. Shows how important home field advantage is, though. I thought it was weird that Denver had home field since they were 8 and 8 and the Steelers were 12 and 4, but they must have won their division? Lucky for them they are in a carpy division.
