Kirkland (Costco) Pure Olive Oil

If you see this, run! Many of you already know this, but I didn't, so I thought I'd post. I used to balk at Ina Garten with her "good" ingredients, especially her "good" olive oil- until I tried the bad stuff. This stuff is truly awful! I started to wonder what does "pure" mean, and this is what I learned: "Pure is actually a blend of either extra virgin or virgin olive oil and olive oils that are refined. It is used mainly when extracted olive oil is of poor quality and the refining process helps it to have a better flavor." Maybe mine could have used a little more refining, because it tasted absolutely rancid!
