weird corner solutions

Hello - we are renovating our kitchen and have this cut corner to deal with as well as large timber beam overhead. It wouldn't be too bad except the window is right beside it which limits upper cabinets or anything tall or too deep. We don't want to lose the window. Does anyone have any ideas on what would be the best way to deal with the corner, both upper and lower and how to end the cabinet run above the stove (on the right). We could try open shelving (not big fans though - more clutter), or remove the lowers altogether and square the corner off. We're just stumped. also: how important do you think it is to match the cabinet color to the wood tones on the ceiling, floor and beams? We think matching it is too much wood, but white seems too harsh a contrast. We're hopeless and developing analysis paralysis. Anyone?
