Parma - LOL!! I hope you had a great vacation!! Seriously, thou, girl - I am the cheapest person....I have agonized & agonized over this....paralyzed by this b/c I don't want to waste my money!! I really like hand me downs & old things & hate paying full retail for anything! LOL I held off ordering the shutters on the doors b/c they are custom & if I switch the doors then the door handles will be switched & there goes the money for the doors!! Zula & Patricia - that's the way the shutters will be done once I make a decision!! I plan on having the den french doors done in plantations also. Caroline - what a great space you have. Every pic I have seen of your house is beautiful:) You all have mentioned having the current door swinging out.....I am concerned about that b/c it is quite a drop off there & to the left is another 3 foot drop off - it would be quite a tumble for someone. We do have elderly parents over often. I was thinking about having the doors switched. Does that work? Thanks for the compliments on the color...it is an old Duron color Ardmore Green. I really appreciate all the thoughts....2 days ago I was about ready to rip out the dang fireplace but that wouldn't be good for resale, either. Smiles:)

That's really pretty bedding but I can see how it would be difficult to find another blue that would work with it. The picture is using a gray which in many cases will look blue on the walls. We have SW Tradewinds in our guest bath, it's very pretty and does lean towards the blues. My concern with using a blue on the walls is that there will be no contrast and the bedding will be lost in the sea of blue. KWIM? You may want to consider using a contrasting color on the walls that will help accentuate the bedding instead of hide it. A light/soft caramel brown on the walls would be pretty and relaxing. It would look lovely with some ivory drapes that have the bedding blue and browns in them. Then you can bring in more blue shades by way of accessories and pillows.

Anyway, I don't know if that one number being off can really make that much difference, but I'm thinking it did. Yes, it can. That's why I'm always preaching that the typical paint/color consumer has no business getting involved with the formulas and colorant listings on the label. This is why "cutting" formulas by a percentage is a ridiculous concept - it sounds so precise, but there's nothing precise about it. And altho people speak to having successfully "cut" formulas, it's intangible, unspecific, and not applicable information beyond their own experience with their specific can(s) of color. Whenever you cross brands, take a chip from one brand and have it matched somewhere else, it's not going to be exactly, perfectly, literally just like the original brew from the original brand. Some colors could qualify as a "spot-on match" and others maybe not so much - this also depends on who ya ask if it's a "match" or not. Some people can see sense "what's off" about a color that's been matched in another brand and other people don't see any difference at all - looks the same to them. Color acuity and tolerances are not one-size-fits-all. If it doesn't take much to satisfy your expectations for wall colors, then that's awesome. If you're a little more picky and color sensitive, then that's awesome too. There's no need to reach for or settle for whatever color is most convenient and easy. You might just have to take a lil more time and work a lil harder but most things worth doing requires effort.

Cori Ann, I was able to root other roses, not florist roses. I only ever got one florist rose to root. And yes I understand there is something they treat the roses with that probably does inhibit the rooting process. But I know it can be done. There was a lady on the Forums several yrs ago who rooted lots of them. I haven't seen her on here in a long time. Ya know, last night I looked at that video you posted about growing roses from seed. It's funny, I kept watching all sorts of rose propagating videos on YouTube. Some are hilarious. And some are very informative. And some are interesting, but incomplete. They don't show the end results. Anyway, in one of the videos, I saw a rooting product that intrigued me, and I ordered some from Amazon last night. It's called "Clonex gel." It's a super-concentrated rooting hormone that seals the end of the cutting. The reviews sounded great. Most people got well over 90% success. That's of course many other types of plants, but some that were difficult to root otherwise. I can't wait to try it now!
