My first attempt at icing cookies

did not turn out too badly. Definitely gives me a new respect for people who have the patience to ice dozens of these. I took a class at the local cooking school yesterday and this is what I made.

I made 6 and it took me 2.5 hours. Made with rolled fondant and royal icing, both piped and flooded.

Also, I found the purchased fondant (silk ice?) to be plasticy tasting. Is there a way around this?

My kids obviously didn't as they ate them all.
