Not celebrity types mainly friends or family. My niece is the spokesperson for a regional commercial. This commercial is on quite often. My dh is from this area so we'll see local commercials with his friends. He also went to school with a guy who writes questions for Jeopardy. That's about it. I'm not much into celebs but it would be fun to know a few!

Sure I have. My DS (internet security stuff), my DD(news) several friends(documentaries,news) people I know in sports,all I can think of for now but there may be more.

My neighbors cousin is a anchor woman for our channel 5 news. A little girl I watched years ago did a few commercials....not sure where she is now though. And like I posted on here DH's nephew was just on Ocean Force Hermosa Beach for 4 episodes. I was almost on TV once....I was on my way into the market and a few people with cameras and micorphones stopped me fr a few questions about avacados for a commercial. I didn't know enough about them LOL...just that I liked them and I only knew a few types! They nixed me and moved on. I wouldn't have done it anyway!

I was in a TV movie once as an extra. Does that count? It was a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation "Red Curtain" in 1995. I am behind the star getting off the plane but you only see me for a few seconds. LOL It was fun being an extra except the hours. You had to be on location at 6AM and didn't leave till after 6PM. Back then you got $50 a day. The other extras were fun and the food was great! The main actors were snobs.

I don't know anyone currently on TV but have known a few in past years.

A co-worker's son, Shaun Harrison, was Steve Urkel's friend Waldo Geraldo Faldo on the hit 90s show Family Matters.

I do however know the guy who co-wrote the theme song for the TV show Two and a Half Me. His name is Grant Geissman. We graduated from high school together in 1971 and still exchange Christmas cards. He also played the guitar in the first season theme song for Monk.

My nephew-in-law has been in some commercials and TV movies.

I was on a TV show a few years ago. It was on Fox and similar to Antiques Roadshow but I can't think of the name right now. I had an item appraised, and I have the tape.

Just this afternoon I saw my DD in a commercial for the Optometrists Group she works for. She has done two and they are shown from time to time.

No celebs; wouldn't recognize them anyway.

I am mainly a lurker, but I had to write in on this one :) I used to wish I knew people on TV. But now I kinda sorta do :)

My Dad and his best friend did a commercial for our local community advertising my Dad's best friend's Eureka Vaccume shop.

My husband was tutored in Math by the girl who played "Winnie" in "The Wonder Years". He said she was very smart and pretty serious.

And my husband sat beside a girl, in high school, that had dated Tiger Woods for a little bit early on in his career. Around the 1997 year.

I knew Cade Bittner who was the face of "Giant Foods" grocery stores and their commercials, out the East Coast. Now he is on Broadway and loving it. I lost touch with him many years ago.

That's all I can think of, but that's my only claim to fame :)

Main Man's Son is a News Anchor in Iowa.

When we lived in California we knew several people that had been extras on TV Shows.

I was interviewed regarding Handicapped Issures for a news program when I worked with MR/MI's. Then later on "talk Radio".

Main Man has been on the news more than he wanted to. LOL! Retired Judge.

Wow, how could I forget....DS was an extra in Run Away Train with Jon Voight and Eric Roberts. He is in an early scene as a convict sweeping the floor in the prison. He said Jon Voight was so friendly and down to earth and would often sit with the extras and gab, but Eric Roberts acted like he couldn't be bothered with the pions.

Only local "celebs," while working at a medium-market TV station. Two of our reporters went on to NBC news. That was 35 years ago and clear across the country.

I dont know him and i have only live in Kenosha for about 10 years now. But Mark Ruffalo the actor was born and raised here. Whenever a movie with him in it comes out the locals gets soooooo excited.

Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys has visited in our home quite a few times. He's a sweetheart.

I was in college in Ohio when Hal Holbrook was there also.

My sister is on tv occasionally on the Love Of Quilting Show.

My cousin Ned is a song-writer, He wrote "Julie,Julie,Julie do you love me?" for Bobby Sherman, whoops, that was 40 years ago. I was just a teen.

My girlfriend Trudy was in the movie RUDY, she was in the stands during shots of the games that were filmed on the Notre Dame campus! She stopped by to pick up my husband to go with her, because he is a huge ND fan but he had been to a game there the day before and froze his patootie! LOL he didn't want to spend two days sitting in the cold!

Had a cousin who did beer commercials while he was in college,but he's since moved on to better things.
Sure helped with his tuition at the time though.

One of my cousins was an up and coming soap actress in the early 70's. Sadly she died while on her honeymoon of an asthma attack.

I have a friend from elementary school and middle school who was in the movie "Hitch." He played Eva Mendez's photographer. I hadn't spoken to him in years, but it was really cool to see him on the big screen. He also does Broadway and has #1 albums in the Phillipines. His name is Jose Llana and he's very talented!! He was always a fantastic singer, even when we were little kids.

Gosh, completely forgot about my brother-in-law. He was an actor back in the 80s and 90s. Good looking guy, kind of rugged and Tom Selleck-like. He was a guest on Dynasty, Dallas, Knot's Landing and some others. His name is Blake Conway.

Nobody that I would consider "celebrities" but they do appear on television.

The people I know are from Canadian shows so you most likely haven't heard of them. One is AnnaMaria Tremonti from CBC. She used to be an International Correspondent but now has her own show on CBC now. I grew up with her and see her parents often walking down the street.

My friend's nephew is Trevor Reeb who used to be a news correspondent with Global but I think he might be working out of the US now.

I know a couple of people who were producers/art and see their names when the credits roll now and then.

Knew some popular NHL hockey players at one time so saw them on Hockey Night in Canada if that counts. Joel Quenneville for one. LOL Same for a couple of MP's or MPP's that are/were friends of mine.

Other than that just local people on local shows.

Ok, if we're going to talk NFL football ... I do graphic design for Vince Ferragamo who was the winning Super Bowl XIV quarterback for the Los Angeles RAMs. He retired in 1986 but is still quite active in his community and has the Vince Ferragamo Foundation to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Dotmom didn't mention her other DS, my DH, who is a local radio personality. Whenever we go to the store, some stranger always recognizes his voice.

I was on History Detectives during their first season, talking about Sears Homes. That was very, very exciting for me and a really big deal for me. :) I also appeared on A&E's Biography and CBS Sunday Morning News and my book made it to Jeopardy (without me!). :)

It all sounds very fun and it was even *more* fun than imaginable, but I didn't sell that many books as a consequence of my television appearances. However, I surely did have a good time.
