Made fajitas last night, so shall heat up the left overs. Had crock pot bean soup for lunch, so have to get portions of that in the freezer.

I was hungry!

We're about to eat ham loaf with a brown sugar-pineapple juice glaze, baked sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli. Enjoying my GK time!

I have been gone again today, this time with Amber and Alyssa. Found a really good sale at Meijer, stuff already 50% marked down and then another 50% off of that. Lunch was chili from Wendy's. Supper tonight since it was late was hot dogs and my left over drink.

We did our grocery shopping this afternoon. The price of milk went up, this week unbeknownst to us. Crap, I hate getting caught off-guard.

Bought got a good deal on boneless chicken breasts $2.77/lb. And kitty litter on sale.....15 lb bags for $3.28. We really stocked up on both. The furkids will be happy!

Dinner was just some leftovers, baked ziti, salad and a roll.

Out tonight..either Outback or Red Robin...

Bought the boys a take and bake pizza.

Phyllis: Leftovers are great and very little cleanup. I often cook to have leftovers on purpose.

Glenda: I like what you had for your main meal today. I hope you have a great trip. Enjoy!!

Patti: I can read the "happy" in your post. Your meal sounds so very good. I hope you were able to enjoy some of it.

Sue: Wendy's chili....one of my favorites. I usually get a plain baked potato to go with it. Glad you found some good deals.

Jasdip: Sounds like you found a couple of bargains to help offset the cost of the milk. I hate to cook after grocery shopping, so leftovers are often the answer.

Cheryl: Sounds like something good to me, especially if it's cold where you are.

I would rather go hungry than eat creamed corn.....but I have only had canned cream corn. (I was a nurse too long, I guess.)
We are having salad and dribs and drabs of whatever left overs I can find.
Or we may have Costco rotisserie chicken with salad and fingerling potatoes.

We went to Outback early 4:30. Was surprised to see as many people in there at that time as there was. After our early dinner, we went to the movies to see Philomena. My friends had all seen it the day after Thanksgiving but I couldn't go then so I dragged DH tonight. Glad they reissued it. If you haven't seen it and can, do.

carol, most definitely NOT canned creamed corn.

Probably frozen, and McKenzie puts out a frozen creamed corn that is awesome.

We had chicken stir fry....garlicky, gingery, full of veggies. I used sesame oil to fry everything and added some toasted almonds on top. Made some brown rice, which was the perfect bed for everything.

Carol: How do you fix the fingerling potatoes? For lunch one day this week I had 5 dribs/drabs leftovers, and boy did my refrigerator look empty.

Georgysmom: Glad you got to go to Outback. I love steak. Also, glad you enjoyed the movie.

I have had fingerling potatoes like roasted, you can do them whole or split them in half.

I had chinese food for chinese new years.

We had fish and oven fries with, believe it not, queso dip. For some unknown reason, DH texted that he was stopping by to get queso and chips. Not exactly what you'd normally think of pairing, but it was quite tasty.

Red Robin won, it was 7:30 when we finished at Costco..and it was packed...15 min wait ...but Outback would have been worse!

It was yummy..I had a bacon cheeseburger...and...freckled lemonade...slurpy yumm!
