Susan, I made meatballs and froze them. That's what I wanted for dinner tonight--meatballs with spaghetti squash but I'm out of vodka sauce.(I buy it in a jar.)

Glenda, the lima beans were rather wrinkly. I did taste it and it wasn't bad, but I'm sure any nutrition in it had long since left the building!

My husband had found this recipe in Men's Health. He loves it. Chicken breast, fresh baby spinach, garlic, red peppers, cannellini beans & shells. This will be enough for 2 meals as he is the only one who eats it.

I made ham broth with the Christmas ham, bagged 4 bags and froze it for use when needed. Last night was horrendous winds, a snow burst and temps plummeted 30 degrees so today was it! Pulled a bag out, cut up some cabbage and a couple of potatoes, had ham, cabbage and potato soup for supper.

We were suppose to go to a friend's for dinner but another friend who was going too, had to leave town today because her sister died. We went to Bonefish. Bang, bang shrimp and mussels. I was stuffed before I got halfway through the mussels so I guess that will be dinner for tomorrow night also.

Amber and I ate at Cracker Barrel at noon and I brought half of mine home and that was my supper. Dumplings, fried okra, coleslaw, fried apples, a biscuit and unsweetened iced tea. It was really good.

Pam, I haven't had bacon for a long time and it sure sounds good. Our tomatoes in the stores aren't good enough yet to enjoy a BLT.

Gee Lynn, I never thought of making broth from ham. Did you use the bone? Your soup sounds warm and filling. Good for a cold night.

Georgysmom, I had forgotten I still have a gift card for Bonefish from Christmas 2010. I usually just get the appetizer coconut shrimp and a Caesar salad. Love that dressing!

Sue, I really like those fried apples. The portions are CB are so big it's almost enough for 3 meals. I usually get breakfast for supper when we go there. We don't think about CB unless we're on the road, it seems.

I had to have comfort food tonight and made my version of tuna casserole: white sauce, sauteed onions and mushrooms, a little mayo, a little sour cream, tuna, and No-Yolk extra wide noodles. I buttered some cracker crumbs to spread over the top of the casserole and browned it in the oven until bubbly.

I'm already looking forward to left overs.

Patti43, I always make stock from our hams, it is the reason I don't like the spiral cut hams, most have a sweet flavoring added infused into it. I usually add onion, bay leaves, celery, carrots, and often use ham hocks to enhance the ham flavor. We like ham and bean soup and ham pot pie but since they are so carbohydrate laden I usually make ham and cabbage or ham and green bean soup.

bratwurst, fries, broccoli and cauliflower, and yummy fried onions and peppers cooked in the pan with the brats.

Pizza casserole last night, from an online recipe. It was really good and the recipe is definitely a keeper!

Jel48, would you share your recipe for pizza casserole or post the site? It would be a great recipe to make when my daughter and family come. They are a little picky--okay--a LOT and all three of them like/dislike different things. But they all like pizza.

Carol, I'm surprised you didn't hear my stomach rumble all the way out in CA. I just love, love, love Swiss steak (without tomatoes). Just lots of gravy. OMG, I'm so hungry!
