So close... but now stricken with fear!

I just found this forum and have been browsing it non stop for the last cpl of days.

Short back story... A year ago my husband and I were planning our dream kitchen and very close to signing with a contractor. Sadly my husband passed away in the Spring. Needless to say kitchen plans stopped.

Fast forward to now. I really want to redo my kitchen but on a much smaller budget. I again am ready to sign with the contractor but I keep second guessing myself! The more I read the more I didn't even think about or know about.

My latest indecision is the granite color. I fell in love with Labrador Antique but am wondering if it's too dark in my small kitchen. I am trying to keep things light. But I have a big blue elephant in the room, my range. That particular granite has beautiful blue specks in it which I thought would go well. While the range matches my 1910 farmhouse I don't want it to overtake the kitchen. It sits on it's own wall so it won't be next to any of the new cabinetry.

The line I am going with is from JSI Cabinetry in Wheaton. It is a creamy white color with glazing. And when I had my sample of the granite I picked out a beautiful crema marfil marble 2x4 subway tile for the backsplash.

Ugh, so my question is... With the creamy cabs and backsplash is the brown granite too strong?

Thanks for any help!

Amanda

ps I included a cpl of pics from around my house to show my style... I hope they show up! My first time posting. :)
