I live in Long Island . I heard she had a store on LI (The Barefoot Contessa) and I went for a drive looking for it. Found out she sold it to some guy who ran it for several years but it closed. Darn!

I'm not sure about sharing my house with another woman, but I'd love to be an extended guest. Or trade houses, love the garden and grounds there....

I could learn so much just watching her in the kitchen. I'm very visual, have a couple of her cookbooks that I do use but being in the kitchen and watching her I think could turn me into a first class cook. Not much of a daytime TV person so I only occasionally get to watch her programming.

I've been making this from her salads for a few years now and everyone loves it. Occasionally I cheat a little and use smaller or shelled shrimp to save $$$ or time, nobody knows the difference.

I like her as well. She is such a lady,not loud and crass like some of the tv cooks.

I am not so crazy about her, but her house and grounds and location are to die for. Love her kitchen and stuff and all the shops she goes to.

Shes pretty,,,but too ritzy for my taste,,,and too many fancy and expensive ingredients...

I can't stand watching her. She has the most boing voice.

She exudes a happy, carefree attitude and a love for all people no matter their walk of life.

I like her a lot too. I think her recipes use far less exotic, hard to find ingredients than most of the TV chefs. She is such a romantic, and that's not a bad thing. I have several of her cookbooks and just got a new one (for me) last week.."Foolproof"!. Anxious to have time to sit down and look at the whole book.

Gorgeous house and garden and I can almost always count on her recipes turning out perfectly. I'd love to be invited to her house on a warm spring day for luncheon.

I just mentioned to my husband the other day that her show is one of the most soothing shows on TV. He said he agreed and said the Bob Ross painting show is another one that will completely relax him.

Only occasionally because I prefer others. Love Alton Brown when he use to put on shows about how to buy different things and foods, like Bobby Flay, and just picked up two DVR's about Ming--from East meets west. There use to be a guy from New Mexico I really liked but I prefer Mexican over Italian. Guess that is what makes life different.

I like Ina also, her recipes and her presentation, until she starts giggling,usually at the end of her show when she's with friends.

Funny, but I seem to pay more attention to presentation of the information than the actual recipes. I like Giada also, but have started counting the number of times she says "There we go" during her 30 minute show.

What can I say? I'm a word person.

It's because of shows like this that I occasionally miss having cable tv. I would love to watch Ina cook.

I also love Ina, she is so low key. She and her husband make a perfect couple. Ina worked in the Clinton administration for a bit. She is a very smart lady.

Ina actually has a fascinating personal background! She is a science and math whiz and got her M.B.A.. in economics. It was the Gerald Ford administration she went to work for, becoming the director of the budget for nuclear energy development. She continued on in the White House for the Carter administration. Eventually she and Jeffrey decided that she would be happiest with a career in catering and cookery. Thank goodness for the rest of us!
