Over in the appliance forum people claim that meat probes actually work well nowadays. I have searched everywhere for good instructions how to place it to give it a try. I don't have any problem using a meat thermometer, but when I tried to use the probe the same way it thought a chicken was done way way too soon. Then I tried it the "hidden" way and never could figure out how to get it in. I don't need a probe to make a roast, but I do want to know how. I suppose a rolled roast would be easier to probe, but I don't actually cook those!
Does anyone have really good directions, especially with pictures?
