A peanut butter sandwich, a banana, some salt and vinegar chips and a diet coke.

Prefer take out sandwitches from deli. Too lazy to make my own, and don't keep much materials on hand. But then we don't eat in parks much.

cream cheese and olive sandwich on rye

I'd need a picnic hamper. My favorite picnic is fried chicken, a pasta salad, pickles, olives, celery, cucumber and carrot strips and something sweet for dessert. Another favorite is muffaletta sandwiches, chips, my semi-homemade pickles and the rest of the veggies listed above and something chocolate. A bottle of wine or two or a cooler full of soft drinks and beer are nice, also.

I just love picnics, don't you? Food tastes better to me outside. We should do a virtual picnic pot luck!

Fill mine up with home fried chicken, yeast roll or two, fresh picked tomatoes and a big cold jug of iced tea :)

First things first!..... Sunshine. Well, I can dream of sunshine and Hawaii and pack a Vegi sandwich with pickles and olives, avocados, more sunshine, and chilled water and strawberries. Heaven.

A foot long sandwich and a soda from Subway.

Ice water and peanut butter/jelly sandwich, oh wet wash cloth is a must after digging in the sand down here and toilet paper, never know where to go sometimes when I go coin hunting. I enjoy the outside so much.

I'd stop at Togo's for a turkey ,salami and cheese on the way to the park. I don't eat sandwiches that have been siting.

When I do have to pack a lunch I for something like a field trip I cook up a small steak, chill it and cut it into strips to take along. Add fruit, maybe chips or a small cup of cold baked beans and a diet Pepsi.

Another thing I've done is take a smaller contained of julienned meats and cheeses, a baggie of lettuce and a pita. Build my pocket pita on site.

Hard salami,a baquette and grapes.

i don't but dh does...it includes one apple, a veggie sack, v8, and either leftovers or sandwich...he doesn't eat it all at lunch, but breaks or in the car going to and from meetings...friday they subway...

I would make a veggie sandwich, a container of cut up fresh fruit and a Diet Coke. I might even purchase a fresh peanut butter cookie at a bakery.

We kept a really well stocked fridge at the office when I had one so we seldom brown bagged it. But I usually had some sort of meat, cheese, dill pickles and/or fresh veggies and bleu cheese.

Hummus, veggies, ciabatta, cheeses, pickles, wine and really cold San Pellegrino.

Glenda...What, not peanut butter? LOL
Mine would be a ham sandwich...thats it.

Cheryl, cream cheese and olive sandwiches are my favorite picnic sandwiches and travel sandwiches as well.

Peanut butter by the spoon is the way I eat it, and that wouldn't be appropriate for the park :o)

What type of olives do you use Glenda? I love cream cheese and olives...separately.

Probably cheese, cherries or an apple and water. If I brought a sandwich it would probably be peanut butter.

Wildchild, will you pick up a pastrami for me, from Togo's? LOL One of the first stop's we make, when we get to Cali. At least 4 of our grands have worked at Togo's.

Cathyid - DD took her first job at Togos when she was 14. A She worked there all through high school. When she was home form college during breaks she would fill in as anything from sandwich maker to shift manager. After she got degree she ran a small accounting business on the side. Yep Togos was one her clients. LOL She also worked as a secret shopper for them.

They do have the best pastrami. There are only two other restaurants in the whole state where I eat pastrami.

Yummy! So far I'm going to lunch with Patti43! LMAO

In a pita pocket I would have tomatoes, avacodos and cucumbers with mayo and salt and pepper.

Good question!!

Sourdough baguette, various cheeses, Italian lunchmeats and oil cured olives.

Hmmm...Oscar Mayer liver sausage with cukes and black pepper on a sandwich roll, an apple and a cheese stick, granola bar, maybe some Fritos or german potato salad.

Jan & I take our photo walkabouts quite often and I always pack the same lunch/trail snack- 1 8oz block of sharp cheddar cheese, 1 pack of Keebler club crackers, 2 cups of raisins, an apple or orange, sometimes a 4 or 5oz chunk of summer sausage and my small thermos of black coffee

My brown bag is usually a ziplock container with frozen food. We have microwaves at work, and I zap my lunch. All my lunches and snacks are brought from home.

Sometimes, it's a peanut butter and nutella sandwich.

Since I work only up to 6 hours at the time, I only get two 15 minute breaks. Not enough time to go anywhere... besides, it ain't allowed on a 15 minute break.

Moni

Apples, cheese, crackers, bottled water, yogurt, and, it DH isn't looking, something sweet.

Nothing, I don't eat lunch but I would enjoy the outdoors.

Tuna salad! :0) & Frito chili cheese chips on the side.

Pimento cheese sandwich, potato chips, 2 whole kosher dill pickles. Ice cold Pepsi.
