Please Help! Two AC systems died at the same time!

I have two central air systems (two zones), one 3.5 ton and the other 2.5 ton. They are bryant 10 year old systems at SHEER 10. Last week the bigger one stopped working (blowing warm air only) and the smaller one only produced air 5 degree lower than outside.

I have one company checked out the system today and he told me that both systems were running with low or no R22 at all. He didn't want to do a leak detect. He said the unit this old is better to replace the coils (at least the condensor ones). His quote? $4500 for the bigger unit's condensor coil only and $5700 for the smaller unit's both coils (condensor and evaparator). Sears also quoted me $12400 for replacing both units inside out (keeping furnace) with Carrier 24ACB442A003.

Are these reasonable quotes for Philadelphia suburb? If not, what do you think is the market price? It would be great if you also happen to know a good reputable company in this area (King of Prussia, PA). Thanks in advance.
