One idea would be to attach the charm to a nice key ring. If you don't want the charm to be the main gift, you could tie with a ribbon or cord to the bow on a package.

How about a smallish b&w white photo of your Nana in a black frame with the polished up head attached to the frame (by hot glue? tiny nail?).

I can't wait to see what you decide to do with them. It is just a neat thing to have.

You could arrange them inside a silver or pewter picture frame or shadow box, maybe on top of black velvet, along with black and white childhood photos of those kids.

I add a bow and fix it to be a Christmas tree ornament, that way they can still see both sides.

I love Hhireno's idea of attaching it to a small framed pic of your grandmother!!! Turing it into a small, special Christms ornament they can hang on their tree is another idea.

I think that my sister and I weren't' represented.

If you usually give them a gift, I think attached to a ribbon on the gift would be really nice. Or if you have photos of them as children, you could either put them on the frame or give them both together.

I think if I had mine I would wear it on a black cord.

Ah! I meant 'It is SUCH a neat thing to have.' I can't tell you how often I type just when I mean such and vice versa. It doesn't make any sense but it happens to me frequently. My brain sez one thing, my fingers type another. And I don't always catch it to fix it. You're think I'd be more careful since I know it happens to me. I wish I had something like that from my Nana. I do have an old brooch from my paternal Nana but those little charms are so charming.

I have my "head" on my own charm bracelet, which I wear fairly often. Mine also came from my grandmother's charm bracelet. After my husband started a charm bracelet for me, my grandmother gave me mine.

We don't normally exchange gifts, so this will be just a little "extra" in addition to their Christmas cards. I like the idea of incorporating it into an ornament. Hopefully I can find something that I can add it to.

The first thing I thought of when I saw your post is a silver necklace by DIL and DS gave to me for Christmas last year. She bought it from Etsy-a fine silver chain with charms with each of my grandchilden's name on it. I love it and wear it almost every day. Here is a link to something similar to give you an idea. A unique and much loved gift. Of the ones shown on the link the necklace on the lower right is closet to what I have but there are hundreds of styles to choose from. HTH

I have my charm from my grandmother's bracelet, which, at the end, had 38 charms on it, but 7 were her great-grandchildren.

I just got mine in a Christmas card from my aunt. I just strung mine on a necklace. But I've seen cousins who have had their charm made into pins, or tie-tacks. One cousin has his and his deceased twin brother's charms made into cuff links.

I guess my feeling is that if you can come up with a good reversible idea for presenting the charms, go with that. But I'd hesitate to do anything that can't be easily undone. Let the recipients have a chance to make the charms into something they will use or wear.

I vote for the ornament. It would be "forever" that way.

I have a Tiffany bracelet, similar to the one you posted with all the charms, and (if I were one of the persons on the charms) I would LOVE to have the charm with my name on it, to put on my bracelet, along with the other charms on it. So vintage, and with so much meaning.

I love the ornament idea too. What about adding it to a puffed felted wool heart? You could stitch the top of the charm down so it could be flipped over. I would also include a photo of the bracelet intact and maybe a picture of grandma in the box.

I would first cut a black silhouette of each(practice a few times, but it's easy) and place on an off-white/ivory background. Glue the charm in the bottom right hand corner, and print the DOB opposite in the left hand corner(black ink). A black matting, in a simple silver 3" x 5" frame would be big enough, yet small enough to place on a window ledge, dresser/nightstand, or bookshelf. ;o)
