I really wish this was easier for you. That's so inadequate, but it's the only words I can come up with.

It's just wierd that the number is just kinda sitting there not doing anything. But I am still on medication that could be almost forcing my body to hold onto the "pregnancy" so it might take longer for my hormone level to do anything significant. We'll see...only time will tell.

If this doesn't work out, I dont have anymore frozen embryos left to use. We'll have to start over with a fresh, new IVF cycle, which I kinda dread (the only downside to starting over are the evil medications), but at least I'll have new eggs and hopefully end up with lots of them. We'll just keep trying until it works because we're determined to give Grant a brother or sister. :-)

You know, if you didn't know anything about those numbers you would be so positive and jumping for joy! I know you and Jenni had touched on this subject on a previous post - bliss is ignorance.

We all need to try some positive thinking. There is so much power in positive thoughts.

Your absolutely right tannatonk, and I wish I had the advantage of being ignorant. If I could just get pregnant on my own, I'd be oblivious to all these numbers and tests and would just be happy to have a positive pregnancy test. But my reality is that it doesnt work this way for me and I'm forced to know way too much information way too soon. And I'm okay with this because this is the hand that I'm dealt and I'm an honest, straight up kind of gambler!! Trust me, I wish it were the other way around. :-)

I'm sorry if I sound too negative, but I've been through this 3 other times and have become somewhat numb. I wont allow myself to get too excited or I would be in for a huge letdown when/if it doesn't work out. The odds truly are against me, much much moreso than when I was pregnant with Grant. And the bottom line is that having the power to think positive right now isn't going to change the outcome of this. Whats happening inside my body has already been determined, it's just not made itself completely known yet.

But, I hope I am proven wrong!!!

My focus now is in fact positive though, I'm focusing on moving on to the next step and doing what I need to do to have a baby. :-) I hope this is my time and I wont need to move on to the next step...like I said, time will tell.

I'm going to continue to pray that the unknown outcome is a wonderful new baby...this time. If the answer is "No, not yet", then I'll continue to pray for you everyday.

Maybe I've missed it over the past couple of years, but why isn't adoption a consideration? My sister and I were lucky enough to be adopted.

Adoption is a wonderful thing but its not something we're considering at this point until we exhaust our abilities to have our own biological children. At this point, I am able to get pregnant and have babies, it just takes some time to get there.

We have the ability to keep doing IVF and will do so until my doctors tell me to give up.

You have a great attitude Steph. My first thoughts too were of you this morning.

(((((Steph))))) If anyone can do this, you can! You're a tough little lady and I admire your attitude. I know how hard it is on you, all the shots and stuff, but determination is a wonderful thing.

What kind of projects are you working on these days, Steph? Or does Grant keep you too busy to be scrapping much? He sure is a wonderful subject!

Flamingo is right, you are tough and determined. If this baby isn't meant to be, you will have another some day. Hoping for the best for you.

At least you have the knowledge that this technology can work for you. Grant is living proof. Before him, you never knew if you could have a baby. It would be great if you posted on Friday that you woke up with terrible morning sickness (ugh), but if things don't work out this time, we sure will be here to help you through this. We all determined that Grant will have a brother or sister! You are right though, being in limbo must be the toughest, just waiting and not knowing for sure either way.

Steph, I applaud you! How I wish it could be the 'easy way' for you and Brent. You are so brave and staying focused cannot be easy; yet, I know you're grateful you do have the IVF option.
