DH and I went to I Hop,

And I came home with more salad in a box than I started out with! Seems like the more you eat, it just gets bigger! It was crispy chicken salad with garlic toast. Very good. We had a gift card, which was nice.

I love Ihop! They now have a garden crepe that is awesome, it is my new must have when I go there. This is the description
Garden Stuffed Crepes Two crepes stuffed with Swiss cheese and eggs scrambled with fresh spinach, mushrooms and onions. Topped with rich hollandaise and diced tomatoes.

I have to try something different than usual. The usual is usually the senior French Toast with 2 eggs on the side DS gets the Rise and Shine Breakfas. Nice no matter what time of day it is.
Ours is always nice and clean and good serice.

sheesh, does that mean I have to admit that I nearly filled the back of the trailblazer??? Got: Jap maple, flowering maple, lemon verbena, lemon grass, silver thyme, star jasmine, variegated salvia and a really neat red/white salvia, heliotrope, pink chaos coleus, and some other stuff I can't think of now. Ani - I'm one of the ones with the issues w/the Wolf AG range. Chances are you "might" be OK with your new purchase. We, however, are quite glad to be rid of our problematic Wolf and very happy with the new American. That said, if you do have issues, Wolf was very good about servicing (except for the one guy that thought I was crazy) and in the end, did the right thing by buying back the range, in full plus installation. In other words, they stood by the product. I do think though there are still some unresolved issues with the AG ranges that were put in to production for the 2007 year. (mainly because no one could figure out what the problem was and fix it!) If that has been resolved, you should be great for many years! As to your solutions listed above - a - tried on some ranges, didn't completely resolve the issue. b - the riser is not the issue as some have had issues with the taller risers c- the problem was not the regulator but it was replaced anyway. d - gas line - be sure your gas line from street to house, house to range etc meets the standards of Wolf as stated in docs (ours did, but still had problems) If you stick with it, most if not all problems with the ranges I know about were noticeable right off so it shouldn't take you long to see if the burner/oven issues are evident in your range. Your pine tree will likely survive, but its appearance will be affected. If it were a spruce, it would correct its shape in 10 to 15 years. Lightening took the top 10 ft out of one my spruce trees. For the next 5 years, it developed a ring of linbs at the very top and made a nesting platform for owls. An then, one year, one of the limbs in the top tier began to turn upward and after 2 years was pointing straight up. It became the main trunk and 10 years after the hit, the tree appears normal to the casual observer, but one who is practiced in reading tree growth can make a good guess about prior damage. But for landscaping purposes, it has made the repair and needed 10 to 12 years to do it.

There are kits sold at HD/Lowes/etc. designed to replicate popcorn ceiling texture. The kits contain two rollers and a pad that are used with the textured paint and can almost perfectly match the popcorn look. You have to experiment with technique and roll the texture in several directions, but I have used those kits on several repair jobs---for which I was paid-----and the customers were quite pleased with the results. You do need to cover furniture/floors with plastic, but that is the only prep needed.

Funny story about IHOP...

Years ago DD was on a class trip to the big city - Des Moines.

The teacher stood up and told them since they were so far ahead of schedule they had time to stop at IHOP. The kids were thrilled! Oh the delight!!

Then they were informed it was the... Iowa Hall of Pride - IHoP - LOL! Neat place, but not when you are looking forward to an afternoon dose of pancakes and whipped cream!

Glenda: That's one of my favorites also. However I can't figure out why they call it 2x2x2. I would call it 2+2+2 as that equals 6. 2x2x2 = 8, but you're only getting 6 items.

Am I anal or what? :)

DH and I went to IHop last night- he had the 2x2x2. His was 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of sausage, 2 pancakes and hash browns. I'm sorry to say he ate most of it. Our IHop doesn't have a good ventilation system so we come away with our clothes smelling greasy.

Unfortunately, we don't have an IHop in my area but I sure make up for it when I go to Florida....
Leaving next Tuesday and you know I'll be checking out the new crepe............

haven't been to an Ihop in ages. Here, they put
pancake batter in the scrambled eggs.. not so good
when you think you are getting just eggs.

IHOP has always put pancake batter in the scrambled eggs and omelets. If you want fresh eggs order fried ones. A lot of the breakfast stuff is precooked somewhat. I always order ham browned on both sides to make sure my meat actually see the grill.

Not really fond of their breakfast anyway. Crepes are OK but only because of the lingonberry butter. Otherwise I find them underdone. Real crepes are cooked on both sides and have brown spots IMO.

They do do some none breakfast items well. Burgers are good and the Tuscan chicken sandwich is excellent.

I only eat there late at night when everything else is closed. Not a place I would seek out but it's convenient,clean and predictable.

A couple of years ago they had a huge breakfast item that had "loaded" potatoes. Were they ever good...I tried to mimic them, but no luck. They had bacon, I believe, and shredded cheese and were wonderful. They don't serve that any more, I find.
