momcat, I've been moaning about the same thing for years. Someone on the boards turned me onto NYDJ (Not Your Daughter's Jeans) and I'm hooked. They are a little pricey, I think I pay about 80 dollars. But they tuck the tummy without cinching your waistline in so you can't breathe, legs and butt look good, and they hold their shape. No sagging!
(And I like the sizing - I usually wear a 10 or 12 and wear a size 8 in these. So now I can tell people I'm a size 8. LOL)

Same here, I'm a sz 10, and I'd get a kick out of wearing a sz 8....Thanks

Another fan of NYDJ. Not only do they look better, they are so comfortable. They are worth every penny I paid.

Today while shopping I saw a pair of NYDJ in dark blue cord and they called them~~Butter Wash~~~soft as butter and they were:)

I bought NYDJ once took them back beause I found some that fit like them at JJill and they were on sale~~so I got two JJill for the price on one NYDJ~~~but I still want NJDJ's

I love jeans but I'm very hard to fit. I have a small waist (24") and a BIGG butt (38"). I'm also short-4 feet eleven. Anytime I buy pants of any kind,I take them to a dressmaker to get them altered to fit me. I currently don't even own a pair of jeans.

I just look at the local Goodwill stores. Those jeans are pre shrunk, soft from lots of washing and already somewhat bleached out. :)

And the prices!!! WOW, they can't be beat. :)

Never heard of NYDJ.....Checking out that link now...I found some jeans at Old Navy this fall that I really really love and should go back now and try and get some more....They are low rise but not super low rise so they don't squeeze the tummy but my flab don't hang over in them either....Stacy

momcat, I recently learned that you're not supposed to use the "high heat" setting to dry stretch jeans or anything with lycra, because if it gets too hot it loses its ability to shrink back to original size. Maybe that's why they sag? I've been using the "low heat" setting for my recent jeans purchase and so far, so good....

Oklamoni, I also look into Goodwill for jeans. I have to look closly for fabric content, seems like "misses" sizes all have spandex or something. Juniors fit good except around the waist.

I love jeans from the GAP, but they don't make black jeans. Boot cut leg makes your hips look smaller.
Yoy're right anything with spandex/lycra should be dried on low heat setting.

Also, stretch jeans fit nice when you put them on, but start sagging the longer you wear them.

If they sag a bit, it doesn't bother me, as I haven't tucked anything in for years and prefer tops a little longer than in prev years. I also found that wearing long johns at this time up year snugs my jeans up to where they won't sag.

Just couldn't resist trying a pair of NYDJ today. They just screamed "take me home" lol So I did! never paid that much for a pair of jeans before but I used christmas money to treat myself.

I got mine at Von Maur. They also have them at Dillards and other Major retail stores. They even have them at several small stores around my area that really was a surprise to me. I'm going to try the low heat tip and see what happens.
