I got mine at Walmart. I've also seen them at K-Mart and Sears.

hahahahah, you crack me up Gayle. I got mine at Big 5, a sporting good store. You can find them everywhere these days. I love to stretch my back out over mine too.

I'm surprised this post hasn't been pulled. LOL

I got such a giggle when I read the heading...LOL

I used to use one that I bought at K-mart, then I got vertigo and had to quit. My daughter is using the ball and loves to sit on it when at the computer.

Deb

I used to have one of those. I sat on it when using the computer and also liked to do the backwards stretches. One day while I was at work some of the grandkids came over and thought it was a toy. They had it outside and it got hung up on a barbed wire fence.
I haven't thought of getting one in years, but would like to get another one. Thanks for the reminder.

Linda

You are so bad, Gayle.
Is this what you're gonna be like off nicotine?

Ron

Reminds me of the FDA warning about not swallowing chewing gum...

LOL, Gayle, made me think of my husband and his downhill ride last fall.

LOL

Here we were, riding along, when we (buddy Mel and I) something shiny on the side of the road. Turn around to investigate. About a softball size shiny stainless steel ball. Of course we picked it up, but had no intention to carry it far. We were on bicycles...

When we caught up with the others, Mel presented it to my husband Jerry, with the words, hope you don't need it. LOL

Jerry decided to haul it along... He was riding his recumbent bicycle, and put it on the seat, between his legs. He hauled it all the way up one hill, where we have all hit pretty high speeds going down on the other side, in previous years.

Jerry got a new high that day. Now, it is the talk of the club... Jerry got a new high speed on Porum hill, cause of his balls. :)

Now, back to the original question: Gayle, I bet you can find it at Academy sport store, or any other sport store in your vicinity.

Moni

LOL OH man Gayle!!! That title caught a few eyes huh?
I have no clue where you get those darn balls but now I have a ear worm of AC/DC's song running thru my head!!!
Thanks alot! ;)

LOL Gayle, I just had to click to see what this post was about.

Maddielee, you are baaaad! LOLOL

Harry does!!! LOL

And sometimes they stick to his lips!

I'm sorry, but I get carried away with Happy Harry pictures.

(All the boxes are unpacked now!)

I'm just WILD about Harry!

Got a lot of good laughs on this one!

thx, Donna (^_^)

ok couldnt resist had to click on it lol who wouldnt? and yes keep the harry pictures coming that one with the tennis ball was a hoot..how do you look that innocent with the evidence in plain "mouth" lol truly a classic

Tiger Woods

Look in the sproting goods dept at Walmart. Any sporting goods store should have them.

ROTFL!!! : D

You guys are so funny! You can find big balls at Dicks! If you can't find them... let me know and I can send you one.

OH Orie!! Glad we didn't start with that one. We'd have been pulled for sure!!!

Got mine on line with my work out cd's but just about any sporting good store should have them. Be careful at first and inflate it to your size so you don't fall or strain your knees. Just sitting on them will give your core a workout. I love that thing.

Dick's

;o) The sporting good store! Or Sports Authority. I've seen them at both. Or any large sporting good store.

I think I want/need some! For my core, for my core...LOL

Harry, you've got what it takes to make me smile every time! lolol

I wanted to name a couple people in the news recently, but I don't want to get the thread removed!

Had to see what you're talking about! Orie...you are baaaadddddd. That's getting close to being pulled...LOL

I saw that show too, and have always wanted to use the ball, but I don't have a place to keep it. It looks like it would do the job though.

I bought mine at Kmart. They are near the yoga stuff. The balls are used for pilates. If you would like to 'test drive' them, go to your YMCA and ask to take a complimentary pilates class. The Y has a whole bunch of balls for the class.

I have one from Big 5......I like it.

LOL!!!

We CAN be FUN people, without controversy, right?

I could say something funny right now to Glenda,......but then we WOULD get pulled! LOL

I have nothing to add regarding the big balls, I just wanted to say I love the title of this thread LOL

I've checked in a couple of times today re: post title and status and am glad to see it's going.

Truthfully, I have two big inflatable balls, one totally deflated under the bed since one of the cats clawed it, the other nicely resting in a corner, underinflated since I haven't got around to inflating it to the proper size. I don't think I've intended any double-entrendres above, but by all means let me know if I have.

I believe I bought the balls at Ross and/or Marshall's.

BTW, TMI for some...

... DH seems to have the BB affliction, but it in no way does it positively or negatively influence performance and/or attraction, as far as I know, and I'm not interested in starting a controlled scientific experiment, mind you... ;)

I use to jump on big balls when I was younger all the time for the exercise. I haven't done that kind of exercise in a long time, but I think you can find those big balls in the sporting section of any athletic store.

I've decided I won't get any big balls cause I'd need 911 after trying to blow up the darn thing (assuming this is a manual job). teehee

Seriously, is a pump included or do you have to find a young person to inflate the ball for you?

I think gayle got her answer about 10 posts ago! LOL But we just can't let a good thread die, can we? LOL

Well, thanks for your kind responses. I guess, I'm not the only one interested in the big balls.

I'm trying to detox from Nicotine.

Note to self: Don't swallow Bubble Gum! Chantix makes you a little gassey.

Love the Picture of Harry. I'd caption it:

"Do I have something on my teeth?"

LOL, Harry!

Back for more.... ok, why would it get pulled??? This is just too funny. Hey, my answer wasn't meant to be ugly (tee, hee). Don't you guys have Dick's where you live? It's a sporting goods store!! Love ya all!

No BB or Dick's here. Small Town.

How about the Jolly Green Giant?
He loves canning peas!
Dolly

We have Dick's here.

Yes, most of them come with a pump.

I got mine at Target that came in a kit with the pump, ball, stand, hand-weights, and dvd. I think it was about $30 for everything.

When I saw this title ...

... I thought that I should just paddle quietly on by ...

...especially with regard to preserving my recently-retreaded reputation.

However ...

... Orie (and others) ...

... do they keep the balls in the basement at Dick's?

Hope you all got a great start to the New Year.

ole joyful

OK, let's go on... No, their basement has no balls... they are hung, in carton packets on the shelves. Usually in the "exercises for the home" area.

Something similar when I was a kid was the hippity-hop but this one had a handle and you sat and hopped. The new exercise balls are for core training mostly. We used them in Physical Therapy yrs. ago for patient's that had back surgery. You can fall off so be careful.

I just know this will be it...

Oh, Orie, I LOVE it....
No, their basement has no balls.

Next best statement to Dicks has balls. :)

Typed as I sit here, on my ball. I use it as my computer chair. :)

Moni

They're hung in cartons!!??

"Balls" said the queen, if I had them I'd be King.

My husband has two big balls! I kid you not! He never uses them. One is blue, the other purple.

yes, I know.... exercise balls! He's supposed to use them for his back exercises. =o) He got two so we could both use them.

debby's first sentence is laugh provoking! LOL

do you use yours?

LOL, this post inspired me to get a "big ball" of my own.

Went to Wal-Mart today and picked one up.

They are $10 and come with a plastic foot pump and a small booklet showing basic ball exercises.

The Wal-Mart ball looks like the ones in Maddielee's post.

So far, so good. It's great to use to stretch out your back.
