Our Julia Soapstone is IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pictures of our DIY Julia Soapstone pending. We just humped the big, L shaped piece into place over my blind corner cabinet. Had to take out a little drywall strip to deal with the unsquareness of my 100 year old house but that's what backsplashes are FOR! We'll post pics soon. My husband did the fabricating. He did a great job.

I'm on a well too, and years ago I contacted my local gov't health department. Brought them a water sample and they tested it. If there is nothing "bad" in there, sounds like you just need a whole-house filter. I use a Culligan HD-950 bought at Home Depot or similar a long time ago, we installed it where the water line enters the house (requires plumbing). We replace the filter every 6 months (Heavy Duty Sediment R50-BBSA). Ours is mainly for iron sediment. Hope that helps.

Wonderful! But you know we need close ups... from what I can see it has such a lovely pattern to it ;)

Definitely need closeups but I love the color and it is suppose to be really hard. That makes me jealous because mine is pretty soft. Can't wait to see more of it.
