I'm really happy with it so far. But it's only been 1 day.
Buzzard, I found that it doesn't work as well on the flat surface the directions recommend. I hold the one corner, where the seal is, up against two of my fingers and it works like a charm like that.

And, yep, that's the smoked salmon I've been picking at, and re-sealing, for two days now. LOL

I thought about getting one of those but decided the bags would probably get expensive.I use a lot of them.So,I'll stick to the old method I have used for years.Zip lock freezer bags(not the kind with the zipper but the original ones)and a straw to suck out the air!LOL

Well, I have one, but I've never actually used it. I got it and four bags for free from the guy who was demo'ing it at the store. The bags are expensive, but they're reusable, or so they say. If I use them for veggies I'll reuse them, but I don't think for meat. I don't know, maybe if I soak them in Clorox first. LOL

Anyway, I guess I'll try it when I cook this roast and make pulled pork.

Anna bought me one and two sizes of bags for Christmas. I put some leftover lasagna in one this evening and it worked. I tried it the other day and had to resort to lilliepad's way of doing it.

I have another vacuum sealer ( besides my big food saver one ). It has a hand held pump and a tube on it that fits inside regular zip lock freezer bags. It works pretty good. It is in a corner cabinet on the bottom. After our yard sale tomorrow Anna is going to pull everything out of there for me so I can get to the stuff I want in the front part.
