Thank you Denise and GG! :-). It's been a long day here. Dad's up at the hospital for overnight observation. They're not sure what's going on, but he seems okay. His kidneys are a little "depressed" as the ER doctor told us, and he's a little dehydrated (but his electrolytes came back fine). He has a stress test tomorrow morning. He's supposed to get out tomorrow afternoon I think. It could also be side effects from some of the medicines he takes (allergy, blood pressure). We don't know for sure, though. Most people have been saying that getting those rejections when you're first starting out are disheartening and that couldn't be any more true. It's hard to smile in the face of adversity. I've been doing it for almost 10 years. Someone on the Cooking forum said I have a good friend to tell me the news. He is my best friend in the entire world (GG, remember I told you about Shaun? That's whom I'm speaking of). These past 7 years, he's been a bright spot in my life for sure. He's like my own brother. He was also born with the most outrageously wild sense of humor lol. I've worked for regular run of the mill temp agencies, and the interview process was pretty painless. I had to take a typing test, and probably other tests, but I don't remember very well as it was quite a long time ago. The people were very nice - it's their job to be nice, but I think they were nice, anyway. I bet this will go very well for you. I wish you the best of luck. Sally

Maybe you just need to hire a sensible and responsible teenager to be the extra set of hands (arms) for you? You pick 1 room, and that person does the physical stuff while you do the cerebral. (or, what maryliz said) I find that simply having someone physically there, with *their* time marked out for this task, makes me stay on the task. Partly bcs I feel that I'm wasting their time if I don't, and partly bcs it means I have company. Even if you just ask a friend to give you a couple of hours to tackle two surfaces, or one closet, or one category (like, "all the paper" or "all the china/decorative objects that I know need to go out" or "all the stuff that's actually broken") And, I play a game where every day, I 'Toss Ten." I have to throw out (or donate) ten things. Sometimes it's big stuff (that lamp in the basement), or categories (all the rubber bands in the junk drawer); sometimes it's little stuff (each pencil on the desk counts as 1). That way, I always have progress, even if it's a day when I'm feeling stymied. Another thing you and your DH can do NOW is to set up a "train" or "system" for getting donateable items out of your house. I think one of the roadblocks is when you have something you're ready to give up, but you aren't ready to toss, bcs it does still work. That can derail and entire session. So mark off a place to put stuff that's being "tossed to another home" (instead of "tossed out completely"), and a routine that will move it out of there and over to the GoodWill.

not top dressing but doing a lot of re-plants and my soil conditioner has not arrived. i may have to use perlite, which i'm not fond of and my pumice i have only 2 or 3 lbs left of that.
