sheep baby blanket

Hello Everyone,

I was at a craft show over the weekend and saw a crocheted baby blanket that was blue & green and had 2 loopy sheep that was crocheted in middle. They were facing each other. Does anyone know who makes this pattern or what it is called? Thanks!

I have a pattern from Vanna's Afghans A-Z.
It has a pattern in the book called Little Lambs.It is a larger afghan (which I am sure can be made smaller with baby yarn and smaller hook)
It is done in squares and you can make some with lambs and they face each other!!

Sharon, I picked up a book at the library called "Candy Blankies" it had a green blanket with 6 white sheep and one black one on it - I made it for my DGS, my DD loves sheep...it's more of a toddler size but cute

Thanks Sunnyca, I made the fringe 5 " long and 1 and little over 1/4 " wide..wide enough so the baby would no choke on them.. on bigger ones I do make the fringe longer and not so wide..as adults are not likely to chew on the fringe..well some adults anyway..LOL the cost on this was a huge $8.00 ..pretty cool huh.. and it is so soft.. I love them.. I am making a big one for family member out of animal print on front and gold on the back.. I think it will look pretty.. then I have an adult one that is squares of several different colors of blues, pinks, yellows, greens.. and the most popping color is the blue.. so I am making the back the same blue.. Okay enough of my rambling.. I just enjoy making things.. and having folks enjoy them.. LOL NOW back to my day job..of selling vehicles to other dealerships..LOL Huggy

I used a HDC shell edging as I didn't want it too large given the size of the blanket. To do the hood in the same pattern as the blanket, I chained the length I wanted along one edge then worked in the pattern, stopping short every other row by one "bobble" if you will to create a right triangle. The edge where I stopped short created like a scalloped edge so I didn't bother to use the shell stitch on that at all. I used the shell edging to attached the chain edge along one side of the corner and the straight side along the other to make the hood. acraftylady, Thank you for checking, but that is "Award Winning KNIT Afghans." The pattern I want is in "Award Winning BABY Afghans." calicokitty, Thank you for the info. I found the seller you mentioned, and there certainly are two books available. Unfortunately, I have been unemployed since May, so I can't really justify over $13 (including shipping) when I only want one pattern. I already have the perfect yarn in my stash. I will have to wait and hope the book is available when I have a little extra cash again if no one is willing and able to share it.
