Craigslist adventures + IKEA cabinets questions

So, Hubby has (finally!) discovered the joys of Craigslist. In the past few days we have acquired:

A large set of Cutco knives (cheap).

A HUGE piece of really nice butcher block (cheap). That will become my island cart, a worktop for Hubby's wood working area and we'll still have enough left for something else.

Two shelving units in rough shape but should be rescuable (free).

A wine cabinet in the same condition (free).

A Makita planer (cheap).

Two large lower cabinets and one large upper cabinet (free).

Here's where the questions lie. I *think* these are Ikea cabs but I'm not certain. There were some UPC stickers on them but I couldn't read them and now they are buried. The hinges are Blum, but the drawer glides are not the soft/auto close kind (again I didn't have a chance to look at the labeling. Also, they're even cheesier/flimsier than I recall them being the one time we went to look at them. There is tons of chipping around the screw holes in the melamine, edge banding coming off, etc. I'm not too concerned about that because they were free and will be put to good use in our garage.

So the questions: Do you think these are indeed Ikea? Is there some lower-grade line of cabinets that they sell that isn't the kitchen line that so many here rave about? Are the adjustable feet for the bases standard or an upgrade? These don't have any feet at all. If they are Ikea, how does the mounting thing for the top cabs work? I see an indent, but it doesn't look sturdy enough to hold up this very large (45" wide and almost just as tall) and heavy cabinet.

From the pictures, they don't look like Ikea cabinets. Ikea cabinets are usually the same material on the front and back of the door. The frame also does not look like Ikea. Can you take some better pictures? On the bottom of the Ikea base cabinets, there are usually a series of hole to fit the feet into, does you cabinet have these? There are usually four holes I think.

Doesn't look like IKEA kitchen cabs to me either. Homepro's right - IKEA cabinets have the melamine coated sides on all faces of the cabinet - inside and out. The last picture looks like raw mdf. Lastly, that indent in the last pic doesn't look like anything to do with IKEA at all. There's no indent that I can recall at all: IKEA's suspension mechanism is a rail and bolt mechanism to suspend the unit - not the indent/protrusions you see. In the IKEA unit, you'd see two ~1cm holes high up on the rear wall of the upper unit to accommodate the bolts - not indentations in the back.

As for "recalling cheesy/flimsy glides" etc - look at what is stamped on the plates for the drawer glides. They can't blur as they are stamped. What you'd see is "Blum Tandembox// Max weight" (and either 50 kg or 30kg (I think)). This is a Blum stamp - it'd stick around.

They call it by Dexter, but I think it's Drexel - only I can't find anything like it when I do a search. I only see Drexel's chinoiserie in black. This will be great for book and incidentals storage.

I get buyers, but they want to pay very little. Just listed something for $300. I'm really hoping to get $250, but if I listed for that, everyone would offer even less. So far, I have two offers. One for $200--30% less than asking, and one for $175. This was for a two year old Maytag washer and dryer, bought new for $900. I'm negotiating with the guy who offered $200. I came back with $250, and I hope we'll settle for $225. Also listed something for $40, after listing it for $50 and getting no takers. Someone responded very quickly, offering $20. So 50% off my asking price. This was for a chest, purchased new at $275 four years ago and in very good condition. So you aren't going to make a lot of money off Craigslist. If you need to sell right away, you have to price things pretty low. If you are willing to wait and to keep renewing the listings, you can probably make a bit more. I guess my point is that everyone expects huge bargains on Craigslist. You have to list for a little more than you hope to get, and settle for a little less than you wanted to get. If you want more money, a consignment shop might be the way to go. People expect to pay a bit more there. You know what has good resale value on Craigslist, around here at least? Ikea. I've sold a couple of pieces of Ikea furniture for about a third to half of what they cost me. I think people know Ikea and know what to look for in a used piece and probably feel better with a "brand name" that they trust. Which is the exact opposite of me. I'd rather get a good, solid, all wood dresser that's 75 years old for $60, than pay the same amount for a used Ikea dresser. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

We just replaced all of our IKEA Akurum STAT kitchen doors and drawer fronts. Like others, many of our doors were cracked, swelling and discolored. If you want to replace your doors with brand new with the SAME HINGES, you can order them from Swedish Door Company in Canada. https://www.swedishdoorco.com/ They are a full-service cabinet door company and they also do IKEA warranty work. We just installed all of the doors and door faces. The product is PERFECT. Beautiful paint, drill holes exactly where you'd expect. You simply provide your cabinet door measurements, and they know exactly which IKEA door size you have. They make a note that it is an AKURUM reface, which tells them exactly how to drill the holes. For us, this was a good solution because we did not want to replace all of our cabinet boxes. They can send you product color samples if you want to change up the color. The exchange rate helps with price. We found the pricing very reasonable. Hope this helps!

I doubt they are recent IKEA, possibly they are very old IKEA, but certainly not within the last five years or so. And they might be a non-kitchen item such as a bookcase or a media cabinet, but it doesn't look familiar to me.

The handles do look like IKEA's Lansa handles.

Ikea's widest upper cabinet is 36 inches. Doesn't have the appearance of an Ikea cabinet either. Congrats on the butcher block!

I think the only thing IKEA on them is the pulls. From what I can see, that does not look like IKEA. Do you have photos of the hardware?

Thanks everyone. I'll try to get more pics / info once we get things rearranged at least a little. For now this is the best that I can do.
