Woot! Happy 4th!! I'm drinking wine and posting to the forums :D And I'm having a lovely time doing so. I hope everyone has a great celebration. I love the US and all our crazy snakes and bugs and armadillos, etc. Enjoy your gardens, folks :) I'm going to enjoy a BBQ this weekend if it's not too hot or rainy. Bonnie - We had a good 4th except one of our neighbors were shooting off (big) fireworks until almost one am. One of our dogs was having a panic attack and another was barking at them to add to the noise. Bet we have a repeat tonight. I need to find out what the local laws are. I hate to be a spoil sport but last year, they shot them off almost daily for two or three weeks after the holiday was over. Gets old after awhile. My dog wouldn't go outside this morning.

My DH & I are DJing a car show all weekend. Tonight I'm baking car-shaped cakes for chances & bread for a bake sale. We've volunteered at car shows ever since we first got together 14 years ago. We have games for the kids & adults, contests, rod jousting, a burnout competition, trophies & a dance in the evenings. We have a 1960 Chrysler Imperial & a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite (both unfinished) & an 03 Dodge Caravan with painted flames. We'll go to our city park to watch the fireworks (50% chance of rain here). Some years, we have fireworks at the car show. Have fun Karyn, I keep forgetting to get your stamps. We have a Jack Nicholson golf course at Rocky Gap State Park, maybe your husband would like to play there & we could visit. Golf = boring to me, too. Linda
