Help! Nor'easter disaster!

We have lost everything in our cellar from flooding during the last storm in Maine. We had oil heat, K-1 fuel for our Monitor Heater, an oil fired hot water heater. All had to be removed, including the two large tanks that held the fuels, by the Department of Environmental Protection!

Our heating company came over today to assess the situation. They recommended that we go all propane, for heat and hot water and our gas fireplace, and to replace our Monitor Heater with a Rinnai, that will also run on propane.

Anyone use all propane for everything??? do you like it? Is it cost efficient? What about the vent that, in our case, that will go out a cellar window? Won't snow clog it up all the time? I don't want to run outside to a side of the house we never go to, to make sure the vent is not clogged everytime it snows.

What do you all think?? Thanks
