The "less big" Norwegian is another yr. older today!!!

aaaannnd....I even have the day off!!

DD's 19th B-day tomorrow.

A 19 y/o daughter...and a 34 y/o Dad....how does THAT happen?!?!??

I know what you mean! My DS (6 yo) knows how old everyone is in our family AND the year they were born-EXCEPT me! I just keep avoiding the question when he asks me-LOL!

That is so pretty. We haven't had a bit of snow here yet this year, not that it is ever like yours. Just a dusting is all we had last year and that was enough for me. But I love seeing pictures of it.

I could swear I had already posted on this, but don't see anything. I'll post again, & if it shows up now, ya'll can just KNOW I'm crazy instead of just suspecting. Wonder of it all looks really good, even if some of the buds aren't opening well. Mine has buds, but no blooms yet, I hope it opens well. We're getting warm weather now, so I have high hopes, although humidity is pretty high & daily chances of rain. We just finished getting over 5" in 2 days, caught us up a bit because we were 6" below avg. Just wish it wouldn't come all at one time, but here I am complaining, & many areas getting so much more flooding than we are. To move on, I like Oktoberfest too, I have that one too, it really bloomed & bloomed last year. Your pot of balloon flowers are so pretty.

This area gets watered pretty often, as well as rainfall: as I have a lot of new plantings there to baby, plus Colocasias that I am trying to get going. We had 2 ½” of rain last Friday, and 6 inches the previous week. Earlier than that I’ve forgotten. But also high totals. Just that I kept going to the rain gauge and staring in amazement before dumping it. Town 20 mins NW of here was asking for volunteers to sandbag their main street. Though with all the rain fall I could have assumed that bed had enough. Since I water the pots all the time out there, I can’t really see me overlooking dry soil, though. I did not bare root it. Just teased out the roots with a fork as I usually do. It was not rootbound. I can dig it up easily but wouldn’t know what I was looking for. Unless the roots were rotted.

Happy Birthday to you, and many more!! WOW!! 1961 was a long time ago, I was 19 and the oldest was a new bab in my arms (poor kid,but he did well even if mom was new to it.)Don't know if I should feel old or happy I am still alive and well.(just got notice 50th high school party is comming soon)I think I will just be happy, and Hope all out there are happy also, enjoy the day you have earned it.

Happpy Birthday! My birthday is this weekend... turning 45, which I find scary... I have a 17 year old DS and when people act surprised that I have a son that old, I say, "Well, I had him when I was in middle school. It was embarrassing at the time, but now I'm glad to be a young mom." Tee hee.

Thanks so much guys!!!!

Uffdaaaaa....spent 1/2 the day cleaning carpets in my 90y/o DMIL's condo that we got her moved out of recently, into a better care facility.

Went out for supper tonight...and my wise DW got us a couple of MN Vikings tickets to the Sept. 27 home-opener against the 49-ers!!!!
Get to see Favre in Purple...WOW...that'll be different!
Soooo, in 10 days we're heading to Minneapolis!

Saaaaayyyy...on Nov. 5th, KISS's "Alive 35" tour is gonna be at the Target Center!!! Might have to try for that one...
