LOL hhireno! What I call sweat pants are same as sweatshirt material - fleece. Some have the elastic around the ankles, some don't. What you are referring to - I call "track" pants or athletic pants. Fleece sweat pants are heavier - and to me - bulkier. To me, they are not attractive on anyone other than the thinnest. Sweats just make me feel dumpy!! I'm warm natured too, so I'd burn up in them. Yoga pants are completely different too. I think they flatter more people, they are very comfy, great for exercising but also for lounging, or dressing casual. Yoga pants usually have a wider (sometimes fold over) waistband. Sometimes the band is curved a bit in the front, which is flattering. Many yoga pants will have a leg with a slight bit of flare. I'm not sure what to call the pants you are wearing, but not sweats, not yoga pants. Not that it matters - if you like them, go for it! Just because I don't like "sweats" doesn't mean others don't. It's personal choice.

I'm glad you've postponed the quilting on this fabo quilt until you are more comfortable on the long arm. It's a way cool quilt...The border print works perfectly! You and DH will want to keep snuggle with this while walking down memory lane! V.

HU-891, Seams have to go somewhere. It's either at the sink....or likely somewhere along a prep space. Either way, the seam will exist. At least at the sink it's small....not the full depth of the countertops. Without seeing the whole layout, it's hard to say why the seam is at your sink. The measure tech should have gone over your seam locations for approval. I prefer the seams (french seam) in the corner. It's NOT a miter seam....it miters out, curves and goes straight. What you have is not poor design....it's poor fabrication/install. It's your clothes catch on it and make holes, the seam needs to be smoothed out. You should contact your fabricator and schedule service/repair for the seam.

When I worked for the school district we used to buy rags from Goodwill for the repair shop. T-shirts and towels were preferred but sometimes if not specified they'd give us all sorts of clothes. All the secretaries would come running and go through the rag bags and grab clothes. You'd be surprised what they'd put in there. Perfectly good clothes - often like new and possibly new. But I also have one more idea. Check with your local school's auto shop. Well, any of the shop classes. Wood shop would use them too, most likely. Often use rags for staining wood and as tack cloths for prep work. They may well want them for rags. Help out the schools too. Even electronic repair shops, computer repair shops and the like would likely need them. When I had my shop we always washed down the computers before returning them. Would have really appreciated a bunch of t-shirts rather than using paper towels all the time. Otherwise, I like the mechanic idea too. But I'm sure Goodwill would take them. Possibly Salvation Army. Frankly, don't count out the local Community Action programs. Maybe you don't think they're very good, but if a poor hard-working parent can't afford any clothes for their kids, what you might think is bad could be a joy for them. Don't be embarrassed to ask. I'm sure you'll advise them up-front as to condition and if they say no thank you, that's fine, but you wanted to offer, just in case. Another thought - any small engine repair shops? Hardware store or something? Is there a neighbor who does shadetree mechanic repairs or the like? Your local city or county probably has a maintenance shop for repairing trucks and vehicles who would probably want them too. Save a few taxpayer dollars that way too. No matter what or where they go, it's a nice time of year to think of a donation of any type to any worthwhile place.
