I am getting ready to post my kitchen on FKB I posted a month ago on the discussion side from what I understand I need to post here also. Thanks for looking.

I'm sorry I posted the wrong slideshow and did not include details.

Cabinets-Cherry local cabinet maker perimeter stained fruitwood with a brown glaze island painted SW Creamy with brown glaze

Floor- QS White Oak site finished lt. brown stain.

Backsplash-Tumbled Travertine Subway tile and Honed Limestone Mosaic tile.

Range-Maytag Gemini

Dishwasher-Bosch

Sink-Blanco Cascade Biscuit

Under Cabinet lighting- Kichler Xenon Strip

Paint BM Flowering Herbs

Mary Beth - I really like the colours of your kitchen - it looks so inviting. How do you like your Cascade sink? This is the sink I am currently considering. Is it big enough? Do you ever use the little basket in the ledged area?

In response to emailed question-- posted here for others who might be interested -- The light from the hood is NOT glaring and I believe that I can be trusted on that because I am very sensitive to light. Never out without sunglasses. How is this for an explanation, the LED light from the backsplash is silk and the light from the hood is sateen cotton :) Noise? subjective. It's definitely not the Bosch dishwasher, which I might not know it's running if it weren't for the light, but I think it's quiet. The wok -if I have more than a pound and a half of beef or chicken cold from the refrigerator, I split it into 2 batches so that the wok temperature won't drop too much, too long. Otherwise, with vegetables, it's great.

Congratulations! I am new here, but I've already learned so much from this forum. It's great to hear and see all of the experiences. Your kitchen is quite an accomplishment. I'm hoping my kitchen adventure (I have a 15-yr. old oak kitchen) will turn out as well as yours. I want to turn this old, sorry, beat-up kitchen with formica counter tops into a timeless, cozy, warm, California French piece of beauty with all of the latest technology out there :-).

annekendo - Thank you for the compliment. You'll be pleased with your Dynasty cabinets. My door pulls are Hickory Hardware Cumberland, 4 3/4", in Vibra Pewter. I have a few drawer knobs (Hickory Hardware Manchester, 1 3/8") but went with mostly pulls throughout. Not sure I'd do that again -- it's a little busy with all that vertical metal! The appliance pulls are Top Knob Bead End (18") in Patine Black. They match closely enough. Got everything from Myknobs.com. Very easy to work with and handled a return with no problem at all. Highly recommend.

Love your kitchen! Love the Blanco sink!!!!! How do you like your Range I want to get one like that but was afraid the bottom oven was too low. Any issues with it ? Thanks

thank you for the kind words! lulumon I posted you 2 answers on discussion side. lwb9 thanks, I LOVE my Gemini. I don't think the bottom stove is too low at all. Just make sure you get that sliding rack it slides so easily all the way out. I think the rack is standard. It a great feature! To be honest I only use the bigger oven when I'm having company or making say a turkey breast. There is very few things that won't fit in the smaller oven. I love that they canboth work at different temps and functions. I think it's the best appliance we have ever bought!
