Once a parent ... always a parent ... unless our kid(s) (all) kick(s) the bucket. And even after such a dreadful loss ... I think we'd still be a "parent". Both of mine still alive ... and vibrant. Had a half-hour chat this morning with daughter in AZ ... who called to wish her loved Dad "Happy birthday!" o j

Very interesting...I read the island story because I know some of Johns radio friends go to Cook Island for radio contests, if I am not mistaken...Must be very beautiful ..

Were you to try to tell a story there that would be judged the best of the lot ... ... likely you wouldn't have a ghost of a chance of succeeding? o j
