Awww Marita, they're gorgeous!

Thanks. I love them to death! Basil has been at death's door twice already in his young life due to hyperthyroidism. He underwent radiation therapy and the long isolation twice, but both times bounced back. He's now a fat, happy, and ever goofy 12 lbs. Sister Sally, the feisty no-nonsense calico, is the picture of rolly-polly good health and sleeps (it seems) 23 out of 24 hours daily. They are very different personalities. I am blessed to have them!

alisande, I have a Rebel XT, and use the 55-250mm IS lens. I love the Rebel, and can only imagine how amazing the newer models are:-)

P.S. I have to add that Basil and Sally are too adorable in that pose! I love calicos, and Sally is a beauty.

Susan, yes DH (age 58) has the same waist plus maybe an inch. These two photos were taken last July and November. July we spent four days in San Diego where he was in the Navy. The Nov pic was taken on Thanksgiving.

I have to add that he plays tennis twice a day, six days a week and coaches high school tennis three mornings a week. On the day he doesn't play tennis, he and a couple friends ride their bicycles 25 miles.
