Never heard his show, past or present. But now I'm curious! LOL

I'm not a fan to the degree that I feel I must listen to him or I won't make it through the day, but I find him interesting and if he is on a channel the radio or tv is on I will listen to him. He is kind of rough around the edges.

I haven't seen or heard him since the faux pas, but when he was on tv before that I saw him from time to time. Bob watched him often.

I like him because of the good things he has done for so many children at his ranch and in general.

I used to listen to him when I was commuting early in the morning because he was preferable to most of morning radio. He did have some funny stuff on but he definitely pushes the boundaries of good taste and manners to get there.

I liked him when he was on in the morning. Yes, he said some things he should not have. He did apologize, to the women he insulted, to the TV audience, to Al Sharpton, to so many others, but for some people, that is not enough. I often think they wouldn't be satisfied even if he set himself on fire. Isn't it interesting that some people can read minds, to know (or think they do) what he had in mind when he did do his apoligizing. JMO Dottie

I was never an Imus fan. I did however find him to be an interesting personality. His apology i took as heartfelt. I do not recall Hitler apologizing. Its funny that we would compare a man who murdered many to a man who said some mean and insulting words.

I used to listen to Imus in the 70's on NBC radio in the morning. He played rock music in those days, as well as doing a lot of comedy. His partner on the air was straight-man Charles McCord. I stopped listening to am radio when I moved out of New York City. I never liked Howard Stern at all. I just don't like talk shows on the radio. I haven't heard Imus since he got back on the air. I agree his "Nappy haired hos" comment was despicable. But I'm sort of glad he's back to "stirring the pot".

Yes, I am an Imus fan. I have listened to him since his return to New York which I think was in the early 80's (?), can't remember exactly. His humor can be high-brow as well as very low-brow. I take what I want and leave the rest. I enjoyed his simalcast with NBC and MSNBC. I have learned a lot from his show re: politics, books, music and Journalism. His show is a good source of information. Not my only sourse, but so often I will hear about a subject on Imus which I have never heard of before. His many guests, both 'conservative' as well as 'liberal' present their views and opinions and for the most part, he does not get in the way.

You are right, he is a multi-faceted personality. He has done some good and he has done some bad. As I said, I take what I want and leave the rest. When I get tired of his show, which happens, I turn him off. The radio is on in our house for most of the day. It's often Imus in the morning followed by NPR for the rest of the day. I enjoy both.

I used to listen to him every day on my way to work. He really made my morning commute easier in all that darned traffic. I especially liked it when he called his brother, Fred, in NM. Now Fred is really funny!

I didn't particularly like him on MSNBS because--lets face it--he ain't the purtiest guy to look at. He always looked sort of surly. He did have interesting guests on, though.

So, while I don't condone some of his statements, overall I have to say I'm an Imus fan. I don't think he'll get carried away and say things like that again.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! I figured as many listeners/viewers as he has, there was bound to be at least one at the KT. :-)

Not a fan. And now we're stuck with him in So. CA from about 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. on station KABC. The other major station here features people calling about aliens, so that's the choice between 3 to 5--Don Imus or Alien-talk. Ugh.

I listen to him occasionally, when he comes on when I'm flipping around looking for someone to listen to. He used to come on when the alarm went off in the morning and I would listen while Woody shaved and got cleaned up. Some of his spoofy routines would just make me laugh and laugh and that's a great way to start the day.

No, and it's not because of the latest controversy. Something about his voice is so monotone and deadpan it really annoys me, plus as someone mentioned he's a bit unfortunate to look at too.

Socks 12345, KRLA 870 (in Glendale) has a pretty good lineup, if you like John and Ken and people similar to them. Kevin James is on from 9 to 11 pm. Mike Gallagher is on from 1 to 3am. They may have informercials from 3am on. The signal isn't strong, but if you can't pick it up on the radio, you can listen live on the internet. I don't listen to the 'alien' show either. Not my style. Linda

I used to see Imus on MSNBC (More Stuff NoBody Cares about, lol) once in awhile, extra early in the morning. No big fan of his but think he got overly punished for a bone headed comment, considering what the people who called for it get away with. I think most people outside of his listening area didn't know he existed until the controversy. He seems very successful, and does a lot of good works. Linda

If I remember correctly he was on the TV early in the morning and I'd catch a few minuts of his show. I thought the whole show was pretty bad but I think he got a raw deal: the producers (or whoever they call his cohosts) were more grievious than he over the years.

Lindasewandsew, thanks for the tip on 870. I'll see if I can get it. Sometimes John and Ken are ok, but sometimes they get a little carried away. My son likes them a lot though.

I've liked Kevin James too. Think he used to be on KABC, but he was a one-note song always harping on one subject. I wonder if he still does that. Now on KABC we have a very strident guy in the evening who just screams. But my very favorite on KABC is Doug MacEntire. Used to enjoy him a lot at night, but now he's drive-time.

Hi Socks, I love John and Ken. They do stay on those nannies in Sacramento. Kevin James stays more on Vilar and local stuff, although they're all doing some election coverage right now. I liked John Zeigler, but he's off doing something else now. Doug is great, but too early for me. I listened to him on Red Eye Radio on KABC too. After Kevin James left, they changed the format.

Do you live near me? I'm in Walnut, near Diamond Bar/Pomona. Several of us on the Garden Junk forum live in the area. Linda
