YL, yes, it is in Whiting Ranch about 10 miles from my home in Irvine. A place within Whiting called Red Rock Canyon.

Nicole, yes, taken with my old camera which is working now that I've ordered my new Canon 60D. :-) I think it was so bitterly cold (~40 degrees LOL ... yes, we are all wimps out here, even our cameras) last Monday that my old camera just couldn't handle it. If that truly is the case, it won't do me a lot of good to go to parts of Southeast Asia next month where temps are going to be about the same.
