Venting gas furnace from crawl space

I've had 2 companies come to give me estimates for replacing my 2 HVAC systems and have 2 more coming tomorrow. Once I get the detailed info from them I'll post for comments before I pull the trigger.

I'm going to go with dual fuel split systems. Live in Raleigh, NC.

From what I've read here it sounds like the recommendation would be SEER 15 single stage heat pumps with 80% variable speed gas furnaces.

However, I'm wondering if it's worth it to go with a 90% furnace downstairs since it will be installed in a crawl space and needs to be vented out the side of the house. One vendor said it wouldn't be that much more $$$ than installing an 80% furnace with a fan assisted vent. Any opinions on this?

Thanks,

Doug
