Please a look at bid for 4ton Rheem HP

Stumbled on this forum researching heat pump info...what a wealth of info here!

I'm currently taking bids to replace the inside/outside units on my 30yr old Central Texas home. With the addition of a sunporch to the system, it will be right at 2000sf. I have one bid that is a 4ton Rheem system that was actually less than I was expecting.

Specs:

HP is 14PJL48A01

AH is RHLLHM4821JA

heat strip is RXPA2410J (10 kw)

I know this is their value series but in looking at the ARI #'s off the Rheem website for this combo: EER=12, SEER=14, HSPF=8.5

On face value, these numbers look good to me. Let me know what the downside(s) of a system like this would be.

Bid includes new plenum, new ducts/return to an exclosed porch, extra duct/return to master br, filter cabinet.

Warranty is 10yr P/L on both units.

Price is: $4540.27

Any thought or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Ross
